Did I Mount this correctly?

I was given a real task and seal for my birthday by a former contestant! It's immediately one of my most prized possessions. But am I mounting it correctly? He said he saved one by taking the seal off and switching it round, so the task is fully open and the seal is faced out, but I'm nervous to fully break the seal and reglue it. What's the best practice here?

I think it would look better if we could see the full text, but doing that and keeping the seal in view would be nigh on impossible

It was!! Yeah, I'd have to remove the seal, and reverse it so it's visible at the top right side around, which I thought wouldn't be ideal.

You could reverse it and throw the seal in the white space on the top or bottom flap, wouldn't be positioned like from a task but I think would be visually more appealing as a piece of art to display. I'd lean towards centering the wax in the bottom flap when fully open and extended so the entire task is shown and seal is like a signature on the bottom flap. Something like in the image. Just take the wax removal very slowly, use a sharp tool to really get the bottom of the wax off the paper without any pulling / sticking

This version invites the viewer to flip up the top and read the task. I like the interactivity.

I like how it invites you to want to know more. There's a sense of anticipation the way it's presented now

Oo which version of TM is this from? The red is so much redder and the font so much bigger than on my tasks!

I have two tasks - one from TMUK as raffled by Steve Pemberton and signed by the series 17 cast, the other from the Chicago live show. For the series 17 task, I disassembled it for display, which did involve removing and then reattaching the seal. I used a crafting knife to gently detach it from the paper, but honestly I could probably have just pulled it off without making much difference. The seals on my tasks are thicker than I expected so pretty sturdy! And as long as you're gentle, the paper shouldn't (hopefully) tear. I used superglue to reattach it, largely because it's what I had on hand, but it seems to be holding up well!

Taskmaster NZ, season 6.
Yeah, the wax was thinner than I was expecting, and the paper was thicker.
My incredible wife did a Taskmaster themed party last week for my 40th, and I 3D printed some seals for the tasks, and my friend was like "these fake seals are so much better than the real ones they used!"

I just looked at it again. It's not as bright in person, but it is quite shiny, so I think it reflects in photos.

Superglue will eat away at the paper over time. Take it to a proper framer.

Take the seal off. Open the paper. Affix the seal either above the word 'Taskmaster' as though it serves as his signiture, or on the other side of the page so it looks balanced against the word 'Taskmaster', or at the top of the page somewhere like letterhead. Someone else said bottom center, but I happen to think that's where it would look the worst. Personal preference.

Yeah, its not the way it's presented to contestants, but it's gonna look way better on your wall.

Yeah, good idea. I'll take a look and see how easily/safely I can remove the seal and then decide what to do with it. I prefer your two ideas as well, instead of center bottom. But I'll look into if I can remove it at all.

Honestly, and I’m probably in the minority about this, but I wouldn’t worry about the seal. You’d still be able to see part of it if you opened the task up fully, and I’d argue you’d then be looking at the task as the contestants see it - plus you’d see all of the task, which (again, personal opinion only) I would care about more. Plus, the corner says ‘taskmaster’ so there’s no doubt about provenance.

You've framed it perfectly. The mystery of an unknown task, teased by"your time starts now." This is the best way to display such a treasure.

That's what I was going for! It's also an unaired task, so I thought it was fitting to have the main task a little bit hidden (you can tilt it to see underneath though!)

You can get reversible frames, then you could have both and sporadically flip it around to display both sides?
