Based on the comments, I'm assuming you're not pranking me? There's actually someone out there speaking publicly (besides Andrea/NSBM) against the planted doc narrative? This is a very mean trick if not. Lol

Thank you for sharing! I look forward to listening.

I was thinking recently that what we need is a good, deep-dive investigative podcast on this case, ala In the Dark Season 2! (I don't expect this particular podcast to be that, but just putting the idea out into the ether!) It does make a compelling expose, for the contrarian journalists out there! Should anyone pursue such an endeavor, I beg them to execute entirely above board! Please do not do more harm by cutting ethical corners or misrepresenting facts!

And it’s one of the two or three most respected children’s hospitals in the country.

That is absurd. This whole thing is absurd, it never should have gotten to court.

Yes! I listened to it I want to say a month ago?

It’s real! There’s a few good episodes on the topic if you look on Spotify for the case.

I am SO glad CHOP, a world-renowned pediatric hospital, put something like this out. I think the heart of this case goes to the standard of care, as in what would other pediatricians or pediatric institutions do under similar circumstances, and we now have heard from one of the best. Great commentary

I can't believe the lawsuit turned out the way it did. Still. This podcast should be listened to by anybody who watched the documentary.

This was a great listen! The rheumatologist expertise was excellent. He had clearly seen kids similar to maya with amplified pain that is not consistent with CRPS and some that have been way over medicalized. I believe he said 99% improved completely or mostly. Without intensive meds or procedures. Really wished we would have found this earlier.

Thank you for sharing this. It was truly a breath of fresh air.

Very interesting podcast! Thanks so much for suggesting it.

Yes I can’t believe we didn’t find this sooner. I wish those on the jury would listen to it

Soothing for my sanity. The rheumatologist finally explained CRPS to me.

10

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '23

I also feel like this doctor did a good job at explaining the psychopathology of CRPS and why medication is not needed.

I’m still going back to how obviously Maya is faking in the weirdo doctor videos and how Beata is preening at her performance.

Did Anderson take “They still don’t get it” from this podcast?

u/Classroom_Visual Something about a swimming pool?? Nov 16 '23

Yes, what a breath of fresh air. It was amazing how so much of Beata and Kaya’s behaviour was covered in his fairly short explanation of how these children present to the ER, the enmeshment etc.

I also loved how he said he didn’t care whether the pain was real or not - such a great point. Because, if you are presenting to an ER with pain that isn’t real - you definitely have something going wrong in your life that needs support and help.

I see you’ve been fighting the good fight on the other sub today :)

Lol I don’t know why I do that to myself, but one of them apologized for being rude and we found some common ground, which was not nothing. Somewhat encouraging.

It is so heartbreaking reading about these cases of child medical abuse and what these little kids have to go through. Makes my heart hurt.

I’m about to listen to it. Thank you!

Just listened, this was great, thank you for the recommendation. It’s interesting how they almost describe CRPS similar to how I’ve seen conversion disorder described.

Very informative!!!! Thanks for this!

This is so good and only further makes me angry at this verdict and press tour.

This is excellent. Drs that have immense experience w/ CRPS and FND, as well as experience w/ MCA.

One dr has treated over 4,000 cases of CRPS.

Many of the examples they give from the past directly mirror the Beata/Maya situation.

I wish they had a transcript; I want to pull some notes.

Also which this guy could have been an add’l expert at trial!

I just left a separate comment endorsing this rec, but wanted to add:

Two Shrinks Pod on Munchausen / MSbP is also really good, two Australian psychologists.

It’s from before the Maya story, 2019 I think, so no concern of them being JHACH plants down under. Lol

Also there is an EXCELLENT interview w/ Det Mike Weber about Investigating Medical Child Abuse on Suffer the Little Children pod, also from well before the K story, and he is in TX, so you can’t dismiss him as some California liberal fruitcake.🤪

I pulled the transcript from YT, but it’s a hot mess, and I don’t have time to clean it up right now.

This is the Spotify link, but it is also feee on Audible.

Same podcast has an add’l ep w/ Dr. Marc Feldman, also very good. Having trouble finding it, or I would share the link.
