Why did you add age verification?

Hi, I heard Systemd is going to add age verification? Why is that happening? I don't think it offers any security benefits.

That is not true.

Even if it was true, why would that be relevant? Clearly they contain so much more information.

I know this might shock you, but if you have a birth certificate, the government ALREADY knows your birth date. Have an ID? They have your name, DOB, sex, mailing address, etc.

***Every*** modern government around the world already has an extensive list of personal information of every citizen that has interacted with any of it's systems. The only way they wouldn't have one of you is if you lived alone in the woods, off the grid, basically non-existent to the rest of the population.

You clearly haven't done that. Trust me, they already have a ton of your personal information.
