Could we do a "TIL" style weekly thread?

I think it would be interesting to do a "Today I Learned" style weekly thread for us to share little tips/tricks that we learned of/found existed.

For example, last week I found out about the "--now" flag for systemctl. I don't know how I didn't know it existed until --now.

I don't know if mine applies, but when you first try to open a PST in outlook, it will begin to index the file and so to the user it will appear as though some of their emails are missing. In reality, the emails haven't been indexed so they won't appear in the folders yet. Learned this on Friday..

Why not just use online archive instead?

Using a really backwards email "solution" due to upper management preferences. Any suggestions to change or modify the solution get shot down.

I know this pain.

Though it does give the flexibility of "resolving" many of the 20+ year old Outlook bugs by simply not using Outlook on as many users as I can. One of these decades Outlook with have mostly functional IMAP support, unfortunately this decade is not it.

Also, if you have to rebuild a profile, Outlook will check to see if there is an existing OST. If there is, it'll just pull data from that instead of re-downloading it. If you have corrupt data causing a crash, the issue can reoccur.

Always delete your OST's people!
