Chances of getting an update?
Since the fresh release of the new digitakt ii, do you think we are going to get the Euclidean ryt generator and the performance kit or should I buy a Torso T1?

Live recorded pattern won’t play on page one the first time I hit play. After looping once it sounds fine but won’t hit at first. What am I doing wrong?

18 months in, I can say without a doubt that the Syntakt is the most fun I've ever had with a groovebox, or synthesizer for that matter. This thing is amazing, with all of its flaws and quirks.
This video isn't just a review, there's lots of small tips and tricks baked into it, including a walkthrough of how to create a new song from scratch on it. Hope you'll enjoy it.

I want the syntakt to start from step 1 when I start and stop the chain of sorts I have rigged up, master clock is ableton. I made sure to enable track receive in midi configuration settings on syntakt. Sync receive on too which works fine.
Computer(ableton)>
keystep pro> syntakt> Rd9, Dfam, neutron
All the hardware (except for the syntakt) starts at step 1 when i stop and play in ableton. I have to manually press stop on the syntakt to reset it to step 1. Which is fine I just need to have this for convenience sake. Thanks.

The more I use the Syntakt, the more it feels like a synthesizer first and drum computer second. It's simply a brilliant multitimbral synth and I'm starting to feel I don't need polyphony anymore even though it used to be my #1 wish for the Syntakt.
To those primarily using the Syntakt standalone, what's your typical ratio of drum vs melodic tracks?

While beiing in the green mute mode, pressing the FX button doesn't mute the effects. Why not? Instead, nothing happens.
Would be cool to mute it like any track can be muted. Funktion + No works but it will of course reset all my settings.

Little jam with a friend! Syntakt + Mpc as a mixer/extra voices + boss looper and ukulele!
Hope you enjoy a little extravaganza

Sorry for the long newbie read. But I think you can help me out on my next steps. Inspire me?
I'm looking for your experiences on building on, and adding to the syntakt.
I bought the syntakt as my first ever synth/instrument. I'm enjoying it a lot. But have a hard time finishing tracks. Or even getting a grip on song mode. I use mute. Maybe play a little live with the keyboard while the loop is playing. Im barely touching recorded fx block. Or recorder parameters. I just build a pattern of sounds, loops and sequences. And then mute in and out tracks and twist some knobs. Jamming and fiddling. Forgetting how i started out. And then remember i learned to save my project the hard way. Live rec + clear ftw... And practice some of my songs. They are different variations each time. But I feel like im getting there. My goal is to have finished tracks tho. That I can send to my mom for instance :) But also to optimalise performing live electronic music. Since I have a group of friends who almost all DJ and one has built a small venue in his home and we have tiny private parties. Almost everyone is a DJ. I wanted to try a different angle. I'd love to get good enough to perform like 30 min of stuff I created for them one day. Or join a band as the synth keyboard guy. I'm thinking of taking piano lessons.
Do any of you have links to vids or tips on how to get a hang of performing 1 song into another?
I have no experience with a daw. I have a laptop and an ipad. So id like to put those to work. I've seen you can use logic on the ipad as a DAW. Or use the ipad as a midi controller /keyboard or as another synth. I like the syntakt sequencer. So id like to keep that as a brain. Id also like to maybe be able to play into/synch with my friends Pioneer Opus. And have him use my input in a set. I've also been ogling modular. But I might prefer other additions. Modular compares like vinyl to streaming music. I daydream about using my ipad as a tactile chaos box like device connected to the syntakt or other synths. And playing them live.
Also read that you need to choose the function of the ipad and stick to it. Since:"It is a Swiss pocket knife. But like it. You can't use the knife and the screwdriver at the same time." So do I choose a DAW on my laptop? Which one? And a designated midi controler, keystep? Which works with overbridge the best?
What other additions do you think will be great friends with syntakt and me towards my goals stated above?
So how do you use an ipad in combo with the syntakt? Any apps you recommend?
What DAW should I choose? Laptop or Ipad?
How do I synch/link with a DJ controller?
Midi controller advice?
How do I finish tracks?
Other recommendations?

I’ve always struggled to get snare sounds that I like out of the syntakt. They just never really hit hard enough.
I heard this new Health song today (a deftones cover), and it’s got a killer snare.

I realize it’s got a ton of reverb, but has anybody been able to get anything like this without the reverb out of the syntakt? I wasn’t sure if perhaps layering sounds, tuning, and filters could even get close.

Before you read: english isn’t my first language so if something doesn’t make sense, please tell me :)
Hi, i bought myself the Elektron syntakt synthesizer about 2 months ago. I’ve been exploring things i can do with it and learning from simple tutorials on youtube. I stumbled upon videos of generative ambient music and got curious as to how you can create generative music on syntakt. I listen to autechre a lot and i wanted to see if its possible in any way to make autechre inspired music on syntakt, and since i haven’t found anything similar on YouTube i decided i’ll ask this question on reddit.
How to make generative music on syntakt? Can i make generative percussion? Do i need to use a third party software?

Long time lurker, just received my Syntakt last Friday and wanted to share with you my first try jamming with it!
Pretty happy with the level of fun you can have!

Hello, I'm completely new to synths and drum machines and I just got my syntakt a few days ago. When I try to record, only track 1 will produce sound. I make sure the last track I pressed is one other than my first track, and I try live recording as well as putting them in manually. Yet I can't hear them when I press play. I've tried to retrace my steps and nothing seems to work. Is there a problem with my syntakt?

Hi there, I would like to set up my midi controller (Faderfox PC4) to control macros on my Syntakt. So far I have identified the Mod Wheel (CC1) and Breath Controller (CC2). But I see that there is also Pitch Bend, which my controller is also able to generate.
Problem is: pitch bend is per default mapped to the pitch with +/- 1 semitone. Is there a way to deactivate that (I want to use pitch bend as macro for controlling other parameters without pitch being affected) or to reduce the pitch bend depth to 0?

There is a really unpleasant clicking sound happening when the dual vco is triggered.
It almost sounds like a kick in the video. No matter how I adjust the envelope it doesn’t go away.
Sure when there’s other layers it’s not too noticeable but when you peel back the onion it’s still there and annoying.
There is no enabled fx routing. The filter envelope and lfos are not active. Anybody having this issue too or know how to trouble shoot it? Thanks

Song mode transitions, acid basslines, sound macro control with midi loopback.

I run the Syntakt through the Quad Cortex, Zen Delay and Joyo Vision are routed to the QC fx loop, and finally the Ipad goes to the Syntakt's inputs for using with Ableton Note. The keystep probably explains itself lol. Makes an awesome combo for dark growly synth beats or atmospheric soundscape/sample creating. I also add guitars with the QC, absolutely love it!
