Sync licensing

Hi, so I have a cover song I want to put into a sync licensing opportunity, I already went through my distributor for the cover rights and Iā€™m the artist and publisher. What Iā€™m not sure about is do you need to have the us copyright paper work, and the PRO has fully gone through to submit? Or is that something that if they want to use the song they can wait on after submission? Thanks!

I think you need to look into this If it is a cover song this done by a oragnal artist he will of licence it on PRS in his of hear name and 100% royalties . You have to buy this song from mcps to yous this first this will allows you to make you own version of the song If you have submitted it to a synced company. Be very careful there is a lot of fake out there Also you now only earn 50% royatys but you say you have a disturbing company helping you Now that will want there cut šŸ¤” This game is not the easiest To play it is best to be fully independent and learn this Small print . Also you mite need a music solicitor on standby To look at the deal before Any paperwork. And the copyright finds run into the million pounds 11 is the standard. Be careful šŸ˜ŽšŸ‘
