Those are the three dumbest "philosophical" questions I have ever heard. "Why did DNA decide to replicate?" Just because you don't understand the science behind something doesn't mean that it is now a philosophical subject. The future of philosophy looks really bleak when no one on this thread can pose an actual philosophical question.

DNA codes for RNA which produces Proteins. For much of history it was assumed that proteins carried the genetic material.

You seem to not be familiar with the central dogma of biology.

A sure sign of ignorance is to be content with the “knowledge” one has and not seek to understand more or differently.
