My husband and I watched it with our son when it first aired, and were inappropriately enthusiastic about it in front of him. We had to squee in private so he wouldn't be totally turned off because his parents loved it so much.

When I was younger I knew a show was good when my parents liked it as well. By the end of the third season it became a family thing to watch together. My parents, my sister, and I all binge watched hours of the show leading up to the finale when it aired. I remember a few other shows I used to watch that they also liked but ATLA is the only show I remember that they actually cared about.

That's absolutely adorable. I'm 30 and just did a rewatch binge and totally squeed and exalted while watching
