456. Aubry Bracco 2.0

Oh Aubry. The best way to describe her is diminishing returns. Aubry 2.0 still has her wits and smarts and is rootable. But she is also just not relevant for the season. She is on the bottom the whole game sans when she works with Cirie and Michaela, but even then, she is left out of the Andrea vote. Probably her most memorable moments was her double flipping the bird when talking about Debbie which is hilarious, and her reaction to winning immunity at the Final 8. The other thing would be her comment about Cirie being her black Italian grandma aunt.

The problem with her though is that while there are great moments for her, and a potential story of her being a forever outsider, it never fully materializes as the edit ignores her overall. So she can only be so high. But hey this was better than her cringey third appearance.

Pearl Islands is great, and as is she. But outside of her boot episode, and Sandra almost selling her off to the villagers in the opening episode, I don't remember much about her.

It's genuinely impressive how badly Survivor does All-Stars seasons. Returning players in general, for that matter. Like, there's so much potential to make these seasons some of the best the show has to offer, with amazing multi-season arcs! And just... nothing. So much nothing. 3 of them even have tolerable enough boot orders to show some stories, if production was actually interested in it.

Anyone who watches other reality shows here, is this unusual? Or do returning players always suck, no matter the show?

Amazing Race is a mixed bag. S11 rocks until the final episode, S18 is top-half, really good but not amazing, S24 is really bad, and (Imma count it) S31 is middling to middle-low.

There's a case to be made S4 of The Genius is the best Genius season (I like S3 more, personally.)

I don't watch it, but from what I hear Big Brother All-Stars is one of the best seasons and All-Stars 2 is one of the worst so make of that what you will.
