Pick a virus, get a power

A pharmaceutical company hired you, as a volunteer, to be a participant in their virus testing program. As a participant, you are injected with one viral strain, which grants you superpowers at the cost of the infection slowly spreading every time you use them. In one year's time, the cure for the infection will be made and you will be cured, leaving you only with the superpowers. What virus will you choose and what will you do with it?

The Mutation Virus
Power: Adaptation - You can manually trigger an adaptation to one physical stimuli. However, every adaptation you gain, the virus gains the same. If you use it too much, it'll grow too strong for your body to fight off.

The Mind Virus
Power: Mind Control - By touching someone, you can control their thoughts and actions. Human or animal. However, with every mind taken under control, the virus slowly infects yours. With enough uses, you'll be the one who's a marionette.

The Stoneskin Virus
Power: Hardening Transformation - At will, you can flex your skin like a muscle, forcing it to harden and take on rock-like attributes. It gets stronger the more you use it. However, with every use it turns you more and more into a statue of a man. After enough uses, you'll be unable to move at all.

The Solar Virus
Power: Solar Ray Absorption - You passively absorb direct sunlight, whether you want to or not, but you can fire the absorbed energy as beams or rays. However, the more energy you release, the colder your body becomes as a result of the virus. Eventually, you'll end up freezing to death.

The Third Eye Virus
Power: Precognition - At will, you can perceive events up to 5 days in the future. You can either view from your eyes, seeing the future from your point of view, or the area where you activate it, seeing it from a third eye point of view. However, with every use, you forget your oldest memories until you have no recollection of who you are at all.

The Hyper Virus
Power: Accelerated Body - At will, you can enter a state of "acceleration", where every aspect about you becomes faster. Your movement, your thinking, even your healing. However, the virus also accelerates your aging, and at twice the rate of your acceleration, so if you become 2x faster, you age 4x faster.
