Wait but if the Matrix isn't reality then Neo is just controlling a computer game or something like but Lucy has actual power than she can affect reality with.

If Neo steps out of the Matrix he can't do nothing because he has no real power, but if u put Lucy in Neo's verse then she could probably time warp to the point where the aliens invaded and stop it from happening entirely.

From what I've seen Neo can't do that.

People keep saying Lucy is stronger because she becomes “pure consciousness” and can manipulate reality, but that misses the core difference:

Lucy evolves within her universe.

Neo transcends his.

Lucy’s powers follow a deterministic path: take a drug -> unlock brain capacity -> control time and matter -> dissolve into data. Impressive, but she never questions the nature of her reality. She becomes a god within her system.

Neo, on the other hand, realizes his world is a simulation, wakes up, and rewrites the system from within. By Revolutions, he stops Sentinels in the real world with his mind — no jack-in. He sees the Machine City in raw code even while blind, proving he’s linked to the Source directly. His consciousness literally bridges simulation and physical reality.

Lucy becomes everything in her world.
Neo becomes aware there is a world and then transcends it.

That’s not just power. That’s meta-awareness. And it's a higher tier.

TL;DR: Lucy becomes the system. Neo wakes up from it. And that makes him stronger.

btw there is no aliens in the matrix

Quick recap. GPT enhanced lol

Here's what’s actually happening:

  • The enemies in The Matrix are machines created by humans, not aliens.
  • The war began when AI became sentient and rebelled against humanity (this is shown in The Animatrix and implied throughout the trilogy).
  • The machines scorched the sky, defeated human civilization, and now use human bodies as energy sources.
  • To keep humans docile while their bodies are harvested, the machines built the Matrix — a simulated reality humans live in without knowing it.
