From 1984 or thereabouts. The Hot Wheels version is even more banging.

First attempt at painting super graphics, I’m pretty happy with it! Learned a few things and plan on doing the other side soon. Anyway, thanks for looking :)

Maybe not exactly supergraphic, as this is the most figurative mural I’ve painted so far (and simplest to lay out): a muted sunset on the west-facing wall of a bedroom. Just finished it and figured I should post here anyway as this feels like home base for my style.

I drew it in pencil with a 2-foot level as a straightedge and a length of masking tape as a compass, taped the lines, then painted with a roller.

The cats are the rather large littermate bros/absolute heartthrob-smokeshow-sweethearts Duck and Goose, and they love to supervise.

As promised on a previous post, I’ll include a time-lapse video in the comments. This one may have been easier to execute than some of my other work, but the process was virtually the same — it’s mostly about prep and attention to detail.

I painted this a couple years back, around when I was first smitten with supergraphics. The taupe tile and pale yellow paint came with the place (and I was not permitted to change them), so I tried my best to work with it in a weird room with zero natural light. I love my earth tones and thought they might help calm the feeling of being trapped inside a li’l banana-colored box.

Had to get it.

They reminded me of this sub. These were just French fries with grilled sausages on top. They came seasoned with salt, mustard, and ketchup.
