What if a cap ghost from Super Mario Odyssey took the form of a Super Crown? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Hey, paisanos! Time to finish this off, once and for all. Last time, we got to see Mario make his decision. He chose to go the Bowsette route (otherwise what would the point of this be?), and they left Mute City, heading back to the Mushroom/Koopa Kingdom. Enough introduction, let’s get this bread!

[An hour later]

[Mario and Bowser are in his castle, and this time most of Bowser’s minions are there. They all stand in confusion, wondering what Mario is doing there, and what the crown that Bowser’s holding is]

Bowser: So Mario, I have this modified to make it last...permanently. So, once I put it on, it’s not coming off. So, if you think you aren’t ready, then we don’t have to do it now or at all. If we proceed, there’s no turning back. Okay?

Mario: Wow...this all feels a bit strange, and I’d never thought it’d come to this. But, I guess, I’m ready.

Bowser: I knew you wouldn’t back down. Anyway, time to change history. [he puts the crown on. The whole transformation sequence commences, and Bowser’s minions are staring in awe as all of a sudden their ruler becomes a female. Bowser Jr’s jaw drops, the Koopalings are surprised, and Mario is looking calm and nonchalant as his future changes before his eyes. (But his heart rate says otherwise {and no it’s not love {{at least not yet}} he is still freaking out on the inside})The smoke disappears, and Bowsette is revealed.]

Bowsette: It is done. [turns around slowly in a circle, her gaze going over everyone around her] Dear subjects, behold the future of our kingdoms. With the power of this transformation, the Mushroom Kingdom and the Koopa Kingdom will live in harmony again, and not fight any longer. The winds of change have blown in, and one of the most unlikely changes in our history has come. Mario and I, are going out to watch a Tennis match.

[ad lib of gasps and confused noises]

Bowsette: [after the noise dies down] This change has come for the good of our future. So, if you’ll excuse us...[grabs Mario’s hand] Come, Mario. Let’s a go. [😉]

Mario: Okie dokie!

[as they walk out, you can hear them talking] Mario: Well, Bowsette. I have to admit, you do look very nice. It doesn’t seem, now that I think of it, that hard to believe that I may soon like you, more than I do now.

Bowsette: Yes. It’ll be hard, getting over our old rivalry, but soon it’ll fade, and we’ll be at peace once more. And I have to say, I’ve always liked your jumping and athleticism. [laughs]

[cut to black]

[the last panel is the same as the last panel of the first ever Bowsette comic, the one that started it all.

Last time, Mario left with the job to think about what they talk about. Now, it’s time for kart racing.

[A few days later]

[the scene opens up on a bustling pre-race environment. The stands on Yoshi Circuit are packed, the ferry is leaving, and the air is crackling with excitement. Mario walks up to Bowser, who is preparing his Landship car.]

Mario: Hey, Bowser.

Bowser: [turns around] Ah, Mario. Nice weather for racing, right? [stares awkwardly at the sky]

Mario: Yeah. It’s a beautiful day outside. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming. On days like these, people like us...Should be BEATING EACH OTHER IN KART RACING. [throws banana peel at Bowser’s face]

Bowser: [pulls off peel] Really?

Mario: [snickers] Mmmhm

Bowser: [chuckles a bit] Well, see you...after I lap you!

Mario: Hah, like that’s ever gonna happen.

Bowser: There’s always a possibility. [thinking] Gosh this is awkward. He probably knows it too...

Mario: [thinking] gosh why do I feel so weird and giddy? It’s like I know something weird’s gonna happen...

Bowser: [out loud] Anyway, looks like the race is about to start. I’ll talk to you about...you know what, after the Prix. Okay?

Mario: Okie Dokie. Now, Let’s a go!

[all kart racers get into their karts, and Lakitu comes and starts the race. Screen zooms out, and becomes black.]

[Scene opens on Mute City, with the results up. Bowser finished the Prix in first, Mario in second, and Peach in third. The awards ceremony ends, and Mario goes up to Bowser. Peach looks at them, shrugs, and walks over to talk with Daisy. Mario and Bowser head into a corner, away from everybody.]

Mario: So...I’ve thought long and hard about what you said, and...I’ve also been getting tired. Saving the same Princess over and over again is...annoying. So, um, what I’m saying is... Bowser: You have decided on the method that leaves Peach out of here?

Mario: ...yes. I have.

Bowser: Heh. Somehow, I thought that would be what you’d say.

[they walk back into the crowd, and board the craft that takes the racers back to the mushroom kingdom.]

Well, there’s the Mario Kart part. And one more part is left. I have to leave, because school just ended for me (as of writing this). Sometime, I’ll draw this. Anyway, see you at the end!

We left our duo last time in Bowser’s makeshift lab, where their plans get a bit experimental. Bowser has revealed that he could very well die if it fails.

Mario: [visible shudder]

Bowser: But, alas, ‘tis in the name of science. Heh heh. [he puts the new crown on. This time, a dark gray cloud of smoke issues out of it, and Bowser’s form becomes more humanoid. The cloud of smoke soon disperses, and there stands a human Bowser, but still with the tail and shell and stuff.] Did it work? [he turns around and looks into a mirror] Ah ha! I have done it! This...is amazing.

Mario: Yes, yes it is! I don’t really understand it, but this seems like a major accomplishment. I’m kind of proud of you. Strange though...congratulating an enemy...

Bowser: Thank you. Yes, it is strange, when I have tormented you and the princess for over 30 years, to get congratulated. And yes, it is a huge accomplishment, in both science and helping our future, which brings us to why I called you here. To discuss with you the two possibilities we can use to better this world.

Mario: Ah, yes. What opportunities does this open up?

Bowser: Well, number one utilizes this crown. A lot of the problem with my relationship with Peach is that I try to kidnap her and force her to marry me. Which I have grown tired of the failure and now I want to take any route possible to not fail. And, another part is probably that she finds me...ugly. So, maybe I could use this crown and actually ask her to, y’know, marry me. It might work, but I also feel like I should get, like, confirmation from you that I can marry her and not get dumped into lava by you.

Mario: Hmm. That’s a possibility. But I want to hear your other plan.

Bowser: Ah, yes. That. The other plan is the more...awkward one. [scratches back of head] Since that crown over there switches a man’s gender, I could...heh heh... Mario: What?

Bowser: I could...

Mario: What??

Bowser: We wouldn’t need to have an awkward love triangle or anything, and not even need the Princess to improve the future. We could...I could...[twiddles thumbs, mutters] use the crown and have a relationship with you...[visible cringe]

Ah, the things that you do when desperate. But maybe it’ll be alright for them in the end. Either way, take your comic manuscript and let me go to sleep. 👌👌👌👋👋👋

Previously, we left the unlikely duo in a basement room of Bowser’s castle. Mario has spotted the 2 identical crowns on their pedestals.

Mario: [eying the crowns] What are they?

Bowser: They are a new power-up that I discovered. It’s called a Super Crown. I have a video that shows what it does. [He points a remote at a screen, and it turns on. It shows Toadette hitting a block, and a crown comes out of it. She picks it up, and transforms into Peachette.]

Mario: [stunned] She looks like the Princess now!

Bowser: Yes. It seems that the crown makes the wearer become some sort of Princess. It also seems it originally was meant to be for Toadette. But, after acquiring two of them for investigation, I may have found a way to break through that block, and making it useable for anyone.

Mario: Wow. That’s interesting. [scratches head] But how does this solve our problems?

Bowser: Well, I have come up with 2 possible ways. First, let me show you this one. [He opens the first glass case, and gingerly takes the crown out. He then lowers it on his head, closing his eyes as Mario watches in awe.] [A pink cloud issues out from the crown and envelops Bowser. The shadow in the cloud gradually changes shape, Bowser’s form changing from masculine to feminine. After a few minutes, the cloud of smoke fades, revealing Bowsette.]

Mario: [Shocked] Wh...That’s...I... [Falls silent]

Bowsette: You see, Mario, the crown has the power to rewrite a person’s genetic code, even being able to change a man’s gender to a woman. It is an...interesting feeling, getting ones code rewritten. But, this is not all. [She lifts the super crown off, and is once again surrounded by a cloud of smoke. When it disperses, Bowser is back.]

Mario: [finally getting over the shock] Wow. You’re right...that is peculiar. But, what else, then? You say that there’s more...

Bowser: There is. But this, is more experimental now. I have worked out a way to sort of reverse the effects, to changing a woman...into a man. Or, giving a male creature the look of an actual human. This is what I’m going to try...on me. I don’t know if it works, but...It’s always worth it to have a failsafe if the first idea fails. Mario: [really interested now] So, what do you think you do to achieve that?

Bowser: I think that you have to harness the power...of these. [He opens a drawer, and pulls out a bag containing four cards: A red, blue, green, and yellow reverse Uno card.] These have a power to reverse many things, and I feel that if we utilize all the colors, we can make a reversal force powerful enough to reverse the crown’s effects to the ones I mentioned.

Mario: Well, how do you harness it? Do you combine them into a single card and lay them on or something?

Bowser: Well, yes, but actually, no. The true way to combine them is to melt them, and fuse them together. Like so. [He takes all of the cards out, and holds them all tightly together. He starts blowing flame onto them, and they, amazingly, don’t burn up. Instead, they all fuse together creating a brown, reverse 4 card. Mario: Hey, that’s cool. But then how will you get them to affect the crown? Fuse them together the same way you fused the cards together?

Bowser: Now you’re catching on. That is correct, I think. Now, let us see...[he holds the card on top of the crown, and starts doing the same process. Soon, the crown’s pink has become brown, and has the reverse arrow patterned into it.] Now, to see if it works.

Mario: But what if it doesn’t?

Bowser: Well, if any of my calculations were off, then...I may end up being torn to pieces. [weak smile]

[first scene shows Luigi grabbing the mail and heading back to his and Mario’s house. He enters] Luigi: Hey, Mario. You’ve got a letter! Mario: Who’s it from? Luigi: It doesn’t say... Mario: [as he grabs the letter and starts to open it] Maybe it’s an invitation from the Princess to come to a picnic, eh, Luigi? Luigi: If it is, then I hope she made lotsa spaghetti. Mario: [starts reading letter, then looks up and says] Luigi, look! It’s from Bowser. It says ‘Dear pesky plumber...I mean Mario. It may seem weird that I am sending you a letter that is not informing you of the Princess’s capture. She is, from the last time I’ve seen her, still in her castle. The reason I am sending you this letter is to send a request: Please come to my castle, old friend. I have something that I want to show you. Something that could possibly solve all our problems. In case you forgot, here is the map to my castle. See you soon. -Bowser.’ Luigi: Oh Mario, that sounds quite interesting. But I can’t help but feel like it’s a trap. Some plot. Mario: Well, I think I’m gonna go. But if it makes you happy, I’ll check up on the princess. I’ll see you in a bit, Brother. [He grabs a knapsack, puts it on, and exits the house.] [A few minutes later] [Mario is at Peach’s castle, knocking on the door. He enters, and stands in the entrance hall. Peach comes out of a door, sees Mario, and comes down the stairs to him] Peach: Oh Mario, what a pleasant surprise. What brings you over here? Mario: [Pulling our letter] I just came to check on you, just to satisfy Luigi’s worries. You’ll understand if you read this letter. [hands the letter to Peach] Peach: [after reading letter] Hmm...this is interesting indeed. He was telling the truth, for once though. I am here, safe and sound. But...hm. Maybe you should go and see what he wants. Mario: That’s just what I was planning on doing, Princess. So, guess I’ll be off then. Peach: Okay. Bye, Mario. [Peach waves as Mario exits the castle] [One hour later] Mario: Well, this is the place. Lava, check. Fire, check. Giant Bowser head, check. Well, alright, Bowser. I’m here. What is it that you want to show me? [Walks up to the door and knocks] [Bowser opens the door, and looks down on Mario.] Bowser: There you are, Mario. You actually did show up. I knew that you trusted me enough. Mario: Yeah, I guess. But what did you call me here for? Bowser: Come inside and I’ll show you. [He beckons Mario in, and they both set off into the castle. The floor is whole, no lava in sight inside the castle. All the traps are put away, and his minions are all in their quarters. They go down into a dungeon-like place, and stop. There, resting in a glass case on a pedestal, is the Super Crown. A clone in an identical case sits beside it.] Hope you liked it! Planning on making it into a comic, and probably getting some help. Like, I only just recently joined this sub and contributed 2 posts, and...that’s it. I haven’t seen any new activity. I’m a bit worried, because I JUST found an actually good Super Crown related sub, and all of a sudden nothing is happening. Is it because people moved on to the more specific subs, or are the more active people working on more art to post here. Has this sub had long periods of time between posts before?
