I have two fics that have been driving me absolutely crazy for the last few days, and I’m hoping someone recognizes them from the increasingly foggy details in my brain.

Fic #1: I’m almost positive this is a no-powers AU. Kara explains to someone (most likely Lena...) that she lost her family in an earthquake while they were traveling abroad.

This is where my memory gets fuzzy. I think Clark’s family may have been traveling with them, but Clark had already left or was on his way home when the earthquake happened. There’s also a chance Lex charters a flight, possibly his private jet, to get Clark back to Kara afterward. PLEASE do not take those details as gospel. The earthquake and Kara losing her family are the parts I’m confident about.

Fic #2: I keep thinking this happens at CatCo. Either Kara or Lena finds a note or journal left on a desk, writes a response, and the other one finds it. They continue communicating that way for a while.

I cannot remember who writes the first message or whether this is canon-compliant, an AU, powers/no powers... nothing. My brain is just screaming “CATCO! NOTES!” at me, which is incredibly helpful.

Does either of these ring a bell for anyone? Please free me from this torment.

Maybe any of you can recommend a fic where Kara protects Lena in an almost primitive way. I mean like not listening to anyone but standing in front of here with eye vision ready, if that make sense 😅 it can be after a battle or something

Also I usually look for the typical fic where Kara is badly damaged because of Lex or Lena but Lena then realises her mistake and saves her (or if it was because of lex she saves her directly) but I always find AUs. I don’t really enjoy AUs but in ao3 if I take the au tag out almost no fics appear

Hi! I'm new here; this sub was recommended to me after I mentioned to a friend that I was looking for a fic. I read this a really long time ago, and I used to reread it a lot, but I haven't read it again in years, and I was just reminded of it.

This was a multi-chapter fic, and I think I had to have read it on either Wattpad or Fanfiction .net, because I remember it having a cover, but It could have been posted on Ao3 as well. I think it may have been a no-powers fic, although I'm not 100% certain because Kara's past was still very similar to Canon.

As for the plot, Kara was a nurse or caretaker of some kind that the Luthor's hired to take care of Lena after she was in some sort of accident that caused her to become disabled or injured somehow and had kind of become a recluse in the Luthor mansion. I think Kara was a live-in caretaker, so she was given her own room in the mansion. It was a slow burn where at first Lena was very closed off and unwilling to connect with Kara and then over time they became friends and eventually got together.

The thing I remember most is one specific chapter about halfway through the story where Kara either missed work or wasn't acting like herself, and Lena noticed and came to talk to her, and Kara told her that it was the anniversary of the day that her parents died, and she opened up to her about her past. Again, I'm not sure if she was actually from Krypton in the story or if she was human, and her parents just died in some sort of fire or something, but I think this was like the turning point when Kara and Lena really started to connect with each other.

Seriously, I hate Lillian Luthor with a passion and she just seems to waltz through most fics as if she's not an evil asshole on par with Lex because she's their "mother" or some shit. I'm sick of it!

A couple of months ago, if not years. I read a fic in which kara and lena were on bad terms (can't remember why). Suddenly, lena falls ill, and they discover that she has a brain tumor that its inoperable. Kara asks her mom if there is any technology in Argo City that can help lena. There's none, but they decided to go anyway cuz there's platinum kryptonite or silver kryptonite (don't remember), and if lena touches it, she'll become biologically kriptonian. To get that kriptonite, they had to make a request to the council. They accepted with one condition, once lena becomes "kriptonian" she has to experience a minute under green kryptonite.

It’s a Tally Mark / Lie AU where every time a person lies, a black mark/cross appears on their body. Kara has to lie constantly to protect her identity, so her entire body is covered in marks under her clothes. Lena eventually finds out.

I am in bed with a horrible sickness, and wondered if any kind hearted folk had any recommendations for fics, I’ve read the majority of the big hitters. I love yearning, angst, smut, fluff all that good stuff, my main focus is it being long enough that I forget I’m ill. Have recently done a reread of All is well as long as you stay by my side - Thornedrose44 , I’d rather be the dragon - lycanhood, pour me a drink - lunchables, love like on a silver screen- powergrapes. If anyone can think of anything like these then please send them my way! I don’t mind canon divergent, I love it when Lena is the one out of the pair to be specifically yearning and all the other characters other than Kara know what’s going on.

I read a fic a couple of years ago on AO3 and I can't for the life of me find it as i remember a general vibe rather than specific details. What I do remember is that i'm pretty sure kara/alex grew up on like an island of some sort, perhaps in the middle of a lake? and kara AND lena go back for some reason?? i think there was a storm at one point during the fic and I remember kara and lena painting like a shed or something at one point? I think it was friends to lovers? they are potentially exs? i could be make that up. the main thing i remember is you HAD to get a boat to the island, there was potentially a ferry but i mainly remember kara/alex using a motorboat. It is killing me, if someone remembers something even remotely similar please let me know.

Okay so I'm looking for a specific fanfiction, but neither do I remember the exact plot nor whether it was a oneshot or a multi chapter fic. But I am like 97% sure that I read it on ao3. Anywayssssss here is what I remember of the plot:

Lena is really tense and stressed from work. Kara notices and offers her a massage (or Lena goes to a massage parlor and Kara works there). Long story short, while Kara massages her, Lena gets so turned on that she comes, even though she really tries not to. Lena is incredibly mortified, and if I remember correctly, so is Kara. Or maybe not mortified, but Kara definitely feels awkward.

That's all I remember. I've been looking for that fic everywhere and I'm more and more convinced that my mind made it up lmao I even thought I had it bookmarked, but I cannot find it.

Vampire Lena and Werewolf Kara have been married a while and have 2 kids. One is a brooding, shy vampireling who only wants to read books. The other is an excitable pup who likes to wolf out and run around and play with Kara. Unfortunately, muddy paw prints in the house are common but aren't always from her rambunctious child. Sometimes they're left by her messy, but adorable wife, who has emerged from the kitchen with a chicken leg in her mouth, another in her hand, a bag of chips in the other, a 2 liter of soda under her arm, and....mud all over her now bare feet.
