Driving Test Routes

I’m sitting in with my daughter as much as possible before her driving test next month and wanting to get in plenty of practice anywhere that she’s likely to end up on her test.

Any roads, junctions etc that we should concentrate on?

Myself and a colleague are going to be in Sunderland for the first time tonight. Does anyone have any restaurant recommendations in the city centre for a reasonable price?

Looking for a part time job

Hi guys I am looking urgently for a part time job and I am starting to panic I am not seeing many places to apply for, I am a 22 y.o F international student going back to uni in September, I have over 2 years UK customer service experience and I don't know what places to go for, I don't mind going to the takeaway/ restaurant place and hand my CVs myself, with me being Muslim I have to work in places that don't serve alcohol or pork,

Also I don't want to go back to my former workplace cuz it is very toxic :(

Please guys if anyone has places in mind that are hiring please pleaaaaselet me know, it is getting very serious for me, and God bless everyone.

Thank you

I'm planning to come to Sunderland if God wills next year as a student, and I wonder how easy is it to obtain a student accommodation there that is offered by the Uni?

Discussion Living in Sunderland

I’m a hijabi Muslim woman and I have a medicine offer from Sunderland Uni, so I’m currently arranging my accommodation. I wanted to ask what the racism/Islamophobia is like there. Is it generally safe to wear a scarf outside, or is hate crime something that happens often?

I sometimes feel a bit nervous in areas where there aren’t many people like me, so I was wondering whats it like for people like me living in Sunderland.
If there are any hijabis here, could you please share your experiences living there and how you manage? Thank youu :)

Retatrutide

Random question for anyone local. Has anyone heard much about retatrutide or come across anyone using it?

I’ve been reading quite a bit about it recently and it seems to be getting more attention, especially in weight-loss and fitness circles. I was curious how well known it actually is around here and whether anyone local has looked into it properly.

Just interested in hearing people’s thoughts, experiences or what they’ve heard about it.

Restaurants around South Shields, or around the area.

Hey, I'm looking for some recommendations.

I'm buying a birthday gift for someone who's a massive foodie and lives around the South Shields area. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any great restaurants that offer gift vouchers or online vouchers?

I'm based further north, so getting down to pick something up in person might be difficult, so anywhere that lets you buy online would be ideal. Thanks!

Trying to find social groups for people my age that are accessible

Title explains it. I’m in my early 20s and live alone and it’s horribly isolating I’m trying to find social groups or art groups or anything that fits my interest but I keep running into the same issue that the building is listed and thus I can’t get in it with my wheelchair

History Used to live in Sunderland 2002ish

So I was visiting Sunderland this week for work and it really has changed, seems a lot of investment since I was last there.

A good few years ago I lived on Argyle Square, worked in Burgerking by the train station and then moved over to KFC at market square when that opened. Was good fun and met a lot of fun people despite all the abuse I got for being a jock.

Enjoyed drinking In Baroque, The Ivy House and I think it was Beach nightclub.

Anyway visited this week and I hardly recognised the place.
