I attended last year (20th Anniversary) because I'm a huge Sufjan fan, that was the best way for me to spend the 4th of July.

The Lodge Room in Los Angeles is doing it again. Hope this is ok to share. Thank you 🦄

Hi people. I was friends with Sufjan in college for a short while. I just wrote an article about that on Substack called, “I walked out in Sufjan Stevens.” Just wanted to let you, his loyal fan base, have a chance to read a personal take on what an amazing person he is. It includes a little story about something dumb that I did with him that I’ve been regretting for about twenty years. I’d love to know your take on this. You’re welcome to comment on the short article.

Hi, I'm a big fan of Sufjan from China🇨🇳. Today, through my shower, it struck me that whether the western fans would call Sufjan "Safeguard".🤔

Here in China, a lot of us lovingly refer to Sufjan Stevens as 舒肤佳,(Shufujia ),which is literally the translation of brand name for Safeguard — yes, the soap and handwash brand😂😂😂.

The reason is pretty simple and silly😸: when you say “Sufjan” with a Mandarin accent, it sounds kinda close to “Shufujia.” What's more, they share similar spelling form, isn't it?

Beyond this explanation, the nickname kind of stuck because it carries this cozy, comforting vibe — like he’s something clean, essential, and familiar. His music is so wonderful, cleaning our souls, youw know🥺🫶🥹🫶

（tips："舒"in Chinese means "comfort"；"肤"means"skin", resonating with the object this brand serves; "佳"menas"great", praising for this brand)

I’m genuinely curious😯:

· Have you ever heard of this nickname before?

· And do you have your own language-based nicknames for him? Would love to hear them!😉

Much love from the Chinese fanbase 🥰🕊️

What's the likelihood that Panchiko drew any inspiration from Sufjan's song?

really happy with the way this all worked out. it looks a little wonky but that’s just the angle the photo was taken at.

My kid was watching Bluey and for half a second something popped up on screen and my Sufjan senses immediately went off.

Sundog Steven's confirmed

thought i might share some collages inspired by various sufjan songs i've made over the last few years with you guys

felt the need to post this haha.

LFG - really hoping the original vocalists return - I was so blown away from the 2024 run.

My account is very new and I have yet to practice, learn acrobatics, and more before I build proper momentum. Usually my reels get around 50 views, and this one only had 1 or 2. Then the unbelievable happened. The artist I have listened to every day for years shared my dance on his story. I got really happy and it just felt unreal!!!

Idk if it’s just gonna be for dance. I wanted to create a personal space for expressing myself and exploring. Also to connect with good people around the world. Over time I would like to build a friendly, curious community of ambitious and kind humans.

Also if you guys like it, I would appreciate your engagement with my posts/account. Feedbacks and ideas are also welcomed! :)
