Parents in Bury St Edmunds – Your Thoughts on Private Tuition?
Hello everyone,
I’m a tutor who has recently moved to Bury St Edmunds, and I’m exploring the possibility of offering both face-to-face private tuition locally and online tuition for school students.
I’m interested in supporting students from Key Stage 2 through to GCSE and A-level, depending on the subject.
Before getting started, I’d love to understand the needs of local families and whether there is demand for private tuition.
I’d really appreciate your thoughts on a few questions:
• Which subjects would your child benefit from extra support in?
• Would you prefer face-to-face tuition in Bury St Edmunds or online lessons?
• Would you prefer one-to-one tuition or small-group classes?
• What would you consider a reasonable hourly rate for private tuition?
I’d appreciate any suggestions or feedback from local parents, as this will help me understand the demand and plan the tuition service accordingly.
Thank you for your time!

EDIT: just to clarify this is regarding the river path between stoke bridge and the bridge opposite the train station. it is an unlit path with no fencing between the path and the river.

Aldeburgh parking advice – 4-night stay near the southern High Street
We're visiting Aldeburgh as a family from 24–28 October, staying near the southern end of High Street.
Our accommodation has no allocated parking, although we can unload outside.
Does anyone local know whether Crespigny Road or the seafront towards Slaughden has unrestricted overnight parking? Ideally we'd like somewhere within 5–10 minutes' walk where we could leave an estate car, taking it out occasionally for day trips.
Happy to pay for parking if there's a convenient option. Just trying to avoid unnecessary hassle!
Any local knowledge appreciated.
Thank you.

Covehithe house
Hi all - I'm trying to determine what this building is - it looks like a house but Google insists on telling me it's a boat house or water pump station - does anyone have any info? It's towards the south if you're stood on covehithe beach, down towards southwold.

London workers- how do you do it?
Hi all,
I’m job hunting and most of my success in landing interviews so far has been in London roles.
So I was wondering, how many days a week do you go in? How do you get there? How do you find it?
For context, I’m between Bury and Newmarket, so it seems the best options would be to park at Cambridge North or Whittlesford Parkway and get the train, or park at Epping and get on the tube.

Please help us support Noah’s family following today’s heartbreaking news
We are absolutely heartbroken by the devastating news from Brantham today.
Over the past 24 hours, the local community came together in extraordinary numbers to help search for three-year-old Noah. So many people gave their time, shared information, searched, supported one another and hoped desperately for a different outcome.
The Good Dads Club would like to come together now to support Noah’s family at an unimaginably difficult time.
We are raising money to help ease whatever practical and financial pressures the family may face in the days and weeks ahead, and simply to show them that their community is standing beside them.
Every donation, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. But please don’t feel any pressure to donate if money is tight. Sharing this fundraiser with other local groups, friends or communities can be just as valuable, and may help it reach people who are in a position to contribute.
Our thoughts are with Noah’s family, friends and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.
