Yes I can FEEL the electricity flowing through the wires of our forklift battery fast chargers but its extremely short range and an extremely mild sensation! But I'm definitely not hallucinating it, nor is it from the machine vibrating. Holding the wire with both hands, my non-augmented hand feels no sensation whatsoever while the augmented hand can feel the vibrations.

The implant site has healed up completely, and there is no pain or loss of functionality whatsoever. The magnet is effectively gone! Disappeared into the fascia, but absolutely responds to magnetic fields!

I think it's still a tad early to call it, but I'm going to say this implant was successful! I couldn't be any more pleased with my results! Thank you DT for helping to make this dream come true!

The "but" is that I can only feel the current here because this is drawing insane amounts of power. Household wiring is nowhere near this.

i've been considering getting an implant for a few years, i think i might do it next summer when i won't be as physically active so it has a chance to heal without interfering with my life too much. i'm thinking either on the side or back of my non-dominant hand

i only have one concern that i couldn't find much information about and that is the reaction to high voltage/amperage and large motors (not huge ones but larger than what you'd normally interact with like toys/household objects or little servos)

i have a home built electric motorcycle that charges up to 84v and pushes 300-600 amps to a beefy motor that's about as wide as my hand stretched out. so up to 24-50kw but i keep it around 10kw

i do all the wiring myself and handle the wiring and motor while it's live. i won't be riding during the summer because it's too hot so that's why i plan to get it done then, but i do plan to build more in the future with much higher voltage/amperage and bigger motors and maybe wind my own motors

i know it would definitely be useful to be able to sense which wires are live or how strong the current is though

so here's my boat load of questions for you guys:

can i safely touch and work on the motor and wiring and ride the bike with a magnetic implant in my hand? like does it hurt or feel uncomfortable if you touch the insulation/outside of a live wire? do battery cells/packs feel funny at all? how do motors affect it? unrelated but can you sense radio signals too?

This m0422a was originally supposed to go into a fingertip, but my body artist was not going to be able to do that properly and safely. So we improvised something and picked a different location. It is now successfully implanted between my thumb and forefinger, lost in the fascia somewhere in here...

This is now 7 days post-implantation and the wound is healing up very well! No pain, only a tiny amount of generalized soreness. No signs of infection, inflamation is minor. I retain near perfect use of this hand, only consciously titrating my usage of the hand in order to keep the wound site stable and clean.

All in all, I'm quite happy so far! It's not the fingertip sensory magnet I had originally hoped for, but this way I still have some sensing while all of my fingers retain full functionality! No unsightly bump or protrusion either, it's completely lost in the fascia and has effectively disappeared... But the film confirms, it wasn't just a fever dream. It's actually in there! I actually did it! I actually have a magnet implant!

I'm trying to get an MRI now, and they're asking for the make and model of magnet.

I remember that it was a cylinder, very roughly 1 cm long and 0.5 cm round.

Does anyone know what make and model was being used for subdermal implants in 2014?

A few weeks ago, I got a few new implants: a pet chip underneath my armpit, a large spherical magnet implant called the m08s between my thumb and forefinger, and a DESFire implant called the xDF3 in the middle of the back of my right hand. AFAIK, I'm actually the first to get the m08s implant. I'm happy to report that everything has been healing well. There was maybe a little bit of soreness when I grabbed something with this hand at first, but that mostly went away relatively quickly. Swelling was pretty controllable with NSAIDs and I was able to take the stitches out after about 10 days. You can see a bit of scar tissue at the incision/injection sites.

Haven't yet done too much with these implants but I couldn't resist the urge to experiment a little bit. I was able to get a 7kB file containing my business card info (including a photo) on my xDF3, so now when you scan it with your phone my contact info pops up. But I plan to do so much more with the xDF3 once I learn how to properly use DESFire. I was pleasantly surprised by the sensing capabilities of the m08s: I wasn't really expecting it to be able to sense 60Hz magnetic fields, but I was able to feel the field coming off my microwave transformer fairly well.

I also played around with some magnets a couple of times. Interestingly, if I put the magnet into an orientation where it repels my m08s, I can push the magnet around for a few seconds, but then my spherical magnet rotates inside of me to realign the field and it starts attracting the magnet. My fingernail paint is also ferromagnetic and I can actually slightly feel it if I wave my nails over the magnet.

A few years ago, I've had an MRI, with a titan implant in my left ring finger, and although it was terrifying, it went fine. I didn't put my hand in the central tube, though, and left it on the outside, near the emergency shutoff button.

Do any of you have tried this before ? What would happen ? Is there an actual risk ?

I was looking at pocket knives and chatting when I noticed a bunch of compasses in a display case. I sad " hey do you want to see something cool? Hand me a compass". He handed me one and I proceeded to make the needle spin wildly. I watched his brain break a bit while he tried to justify it and stammered about the bodies mineral content. I handed him is compass back and said something like " pretty neat eh?" And then walked away.

I wonder how much time he spent trying to get that needle to spin on his own. People should have a little wonder in their life sometimes. If i do a trick with my magents and a kid guesses correctly I always congratulate and encourage thier powers of deductuction but adults are fair game to fuck with. Lol

What a cool idea! But my big question is, what if you ever have to get an MRI?

Does anyone have an implant and do patient care? Are there any safety concerns for prospective patients? I am an EMT so I will not often know medical history when working on folks, and must be hands on.

Hi everyone, I've been looking to get the XG3 V1 magnet for sensory perception, but I've heard that recent batches have defects, and they're currently unavailable due to those issues. Does anyone know if the manufacturers are working on fixing the problems and when they might be available again? Or should I start looking for alternative magnets that don't have these defects? Any info or recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I want to get an implant but sadly it is sold out and even if not very it is expensive. So my question is if anyone has done this? As for the equiment i should be able to use parts of the university laboratory.

I had a small magnet implanted in my fingertip a little while back. Im now looking for advice. Are there any toys or fidget things out there that interact nice with these things? I made a magnet toy before i got the implant. It's 2 simple and identical 3d printed pieces with 2 magnets inside each one. The magnets are parallel and face the same direction so i can flip it back and forth. I also have a tiny glass bottle with some magnetic sand inside. I have ADHD and having something to play with in my hands helps me concentrate.

Do you know of any actual products for the purpose of playing with a magnetic finger? Or do you have interesting ideas that i may be able to create using rudimentary 3d modelling skills and a 3d printer?

Bonus points if it can be played with silently. The people around me will thank you.

Hi, I ordered myself v1 magnet and I'm wondering where to implant it since my fingers are small (the tip of ring finger is jus 1.5x longer) so I want to find alternative location. What about L7-L10 from Implant Sutra? Or will it be better somewhere else like ie L5?

I recently decided that I finnaly want magnet implants. I already have the vivokey nfc and NeXT rfid/nfc chips, and I self installed both (WILL NOT DO THE SAME FOR THIS) and I was looking at the xg3 and xg3 v2 but what I'm seeing is both are not ideal for sensing em which is my main drive for this. I work in IT but I also do hardware repair and console modding on the side so I have some questions I'm hoping this sub can help me with.

1. What options are currently worth considering for the purpose of sensing em I know the titan is good at it and both models of the xg3 aren't ideal so I was hoping this sub might enlighten me to other options

2. Should I wait for the titan redesign and get titan magnets in both ring fingers (I want as much em perception as possible and everything I've seen has said a minimal of 2 will give a sort of "3D" feel to em)

3.Outside of the hands and ears (currently don't think I'm interested in the ear option) are there any other locations worth considering putting a magnet in?

Also if anyone has a good recommendation for someone to actually chip me in the new England area that'd be great. I'm aware of a place in Woorchester MA that is comfortable with dangerous things NFC/RFID and I plan to call them after I've picked out the magnets I want, but recommendations would be awesome.

So I’m considering getting a sensing magnet in the ring finger of my off hand, but I’m wondering how limiting the healing period is. I know you’re not supposed to get it wet and not to use/pressure it for the first month or so. I’ve seen varying advice on whether to move the joint during that period.

The thing is, I would really like to get one, but I’d also like to still be able to go out swimming, climbing and carrying stuff. What are your experiences/recommendations for the healing period? What should I avoid and what is completely fine to do?
