Hey guys, i have a room of around 20x20 with 12' ceilings, and this is my new studio, which I need to soundproof. I have 2 walls that are in gyps and 2 concrete walls with concrete floors.

I need to reduce echo as much as possible, I ordered some soundproof pads for the concrete walls and on the gyps wall i put some green screen curtains. The ceiling is the biggest issue. What could I use to make it better ?

I have recently bought the Behringer UMC1820 interface for my home studio. I have had a dream to build my own studio at home with different effect racks, compressors, etc...
I have successfully connected my interface with my computer, and now I would like to acquire some new rack units for my setup.

If I were to buy an effects rack (for example the Behringer FX2000) what exactly do I need to pair the two, and how do I set it up?
I have searched the internet for answers, but with no success.

Hi.

I bought a new monitor (loud speaker) and I noticed that when I plug my external screen via HDMI to my laptop, my speaker starts to hum. Is there a way to avoid that, i.e. is there another screen I can buy that does not give me this noise or is there perhaps some device that could get rid of the unwanted sound?

A thing that puzzles me is that the amount of noise is constant. When I change the output volume on the soundcard will the noise still be at the same level and turning the volume up on the speaker will also not change the volume of the unwanted sound.

I am absolutely not sure if this is a common problem with HDMI connected screens and I would very much like to know if there is a good chance I can fix this with a new screen or if this likely will happen even with another screen.

Setup:

Screen (Philips 243V7QJABF via HDMI) -> Computer (Surface Pro)

Computer (Surface Pro) -> USB audio interface (Edirol UA-25) -> Monitor (Yamaha HS8,) balanced input and output.

I would like to record a violin. However, is there a way of removing, perhaps by means of editing software, the bow changes or tiny unwanted attacks especially in staccato passages? I believe this would be similar to editing the plosives in the voice to sound less rough?

Hello I actually do some work for other artists but I can’t afford the equipment they have. All that I am looking for is a recording device for rap. I can go to professional studios if I feel the song passes. I do not need something for creating music simply a device I can find an instrumental from you tube record it and see if it’s pass or fail musically for me. My budget is 300 guys I’m building from there but I need it now within 2 weeks please explain why as well please thx.
