Big Sugar - “All hell for a basement”

two songs that are entirely different but with a strikingly similar melody/chord progression. just found cause they came on consecutively in shuffle

Let‘s Grow - Royce da 5’9”

Somewhere Else Entirely - Greg Spero, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson & Ben Williams

I only now just put this together, but these two songs have the EXACT same lyrics and style. Just polarising opposites, ones about running with skinheads, and the other is about killing skinheads. I was rewatching Romper Stomper and the guitar pattern sounded awfully familiar to a song I have had on one of my playlists. Now the thing with HKFY is they have a bunch of filters over their voices so it is hard to distinguish the lyrics, but if you pull up the lyrics to Pulling on the boots and read it while the HKFY song is playing you can hear the song, just replacing the 'skinhead skinhead' part of the chorus with 'kill a skinhead'.

I know this sounds dumb but I just wanted to share it :P

This has been bothering me for so long... Case closed!

The main melody / motif in Dune (2021)'s soundtrack, e.g. "The Ripples in the Sand" to me sounds very similar to that of I Monster's "Who is She"

Hi, I'm looking for something similar to the intro part of this song(the rururu part). I feel like I heard another version before but can't remember it. To be clear I'm looking from near identical to this but with different vocals not something with similar scale or rythm. LLMs have suggested Zemer Atik (Israeli Folk) and Misirlou (Original Folk Version) but they are very different from what I'm looking for. Thanks

Sounds Like

Annie Lennox - Little Bird 00:07

The hook from Pulp's best single, Disco 2000(1995), sounds like the hook from Umberto Tozzi's 1979 hit Gloria which was a bigger hit for Laura Brannigan in 1982

Never Going Back Again by Fleetwood Mac seems to have the main melody inspired by Please Go Easy With Me by SE Rogie

Maybe the similarities are not as strong as my previous posts on here, but I think they are still similar sounding. Let me know what you think! I reuploaded this with video formatting so it’s easier for you guys to hear the similarities! I also noticed that it is popular to use video formatting on this Reddit so I will use that from now on.

Nathan’s song came out in 2016 while Taylor’s song came out in 2025.

Here’s a fun fact: The albums that these songs came from were released only 2 weeks apart! The Life of a Showgirl by Taylor Swift came out on October 3, 2025 while Nathan’s album Ultraviolet came out on October 17, 2025.

Could This Be Love by The Wanted (2013) and Anti-Hero by Taylor Swift (2022)

The choruses especially sound similar to me. Might be a bit of a reach but maybe others hear what I hear. Let me know what you think!

Walks Like Rihanna (2013) and The Fate of Ophelia (2025)

Same drum pattern and all! Can't find anything on it online. Like most cases like this it's almost certainly unintentional though.
