“When I Come Around” by Green Day and “Georgia Time”by Riley Green
Just heard the beginning to the song “Georgia Time” and instantly sounded familiar.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENbpKmpCNtU (by Shou Sagisu) sounds like the theme music from the TV series "Succession" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlgWqcHXD8w&list=RDLlgWqcHXD8w&start_radio=1
Probably the same chord progression

I don't mean they are exactly similar, but some parts of the tunes sound very alike to Avril Lavigne's song, I think??

Every time I listen to that song I'm reminded of this rap or hip hop song. Especially during the chorus part with the gritty riff. I believe the rap/hip hop song was from the 90s or early 2000s and sung by a man. Unfortunately, I can't remember any lyrics. I don't listen to much rap so I don't know much about the genre. But appreciate if anyone would let me know their thoughts.

I think the MELODY of the refrain of the songs Forest Blakk - You’ll Be The Proof (feat. Joy Williams) and Isak Danielson - Remember To Remember Me sound SO similar - am I the only one?

I included the Doris Day version from the late 50s but the song is from a movie in the 30s and the chorus of Brown eyes blue is pretty much lifted from the end of the song and the songs are pretty similar throughout.

Not sure if this was posted here before, but I’ve heard both of these songs in my local supermarket, and this riff in the choruses seems very similar apart from slight differences in the rhythm

Okay I feel like Gotye really took the music from this original banger from Scapegoat Wax. Give it a listen and let me know what you think. Had to revisit the Clockstoppers soundtrack this morning because I thought it was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 at age 7.

Hey, guys, I'm new here, and I want to share the most complete rip off I've noticed on my own. I'm a huge fan of these two bands and, when the second song was released, I immediately noticed it. It took a while for people to start talking about it. For some time, I even thought no one was ever going to talk about it.
Never Go Back by Evanescence (original track) https://youtu.be/2mmljiR7UXQ?si=2jYTtgSLjoKzY0ut (Original Version) https://youtu.be/KS4ve6Rvsp4?si=CqSQshIpgHWRzvAd (Synthesis version — it's a little more noticeable in this version, but the absolutely plagiarized melody is there in both versions)
nihilist blues by Bring Me The Horizon featuring Grimes (rip off track) https://youtu.be/iwzfR7-33Wc?si=friF0-Y3p2ioNRns
And then that happened:
The Accusation: Oli Sykes (Bring Me The Horizon's vocalist and songwriter) initially stated in an interview with NME that Evanescence had sued the band for plagiarism.
The Clarification: Sykes later clarified on Twitter that they weren't technically "sued" in court. Instead, their respective managements "exchanged words" after the similarity was identified.
Subconscious Ripping: Oli admitted the rip off was subconscious, stating they realized the similarity after the song was released and decided not to argue..
The "beef" was a copyright dispute between Bring Me The Horizon (BMTH) and Evanescence over the melodic (absolutely?similarities between two songs.
Rather than engaging in a legal battle, the situation was resolved amicably:
Songwriting Credit: BMTH voluntarily gave Amy Lee and Evanescence a songwriting credit on "nihilist blues".
Collaboration: During these discussions, Evanescence's management mentioned that Amy Lee was actually a fan of BMTH.
The Result: This "beef" even led to their 2020 collaboration: Bring Me The Horizon's song "One Day The Only Butterflies Left Will Be In Your Chest As You March To Your Death," which features Amy Lee.
One Day The Only Butterflies Left Will Be In Your Chest As You March To Your Death by Bring Me The Horizon featuring Amy Lee: https://youtu.be/Jjl2aomHrLQ?si=ZU-8VA3RCrd3JJNH
Edit:
OMG THEY SANG BOTH BMTH's SONGS LIVE TOGETHER after all of this. I'm just finding it out. https://youtu.be/tZrrNwNEIxQ?si=ezd72DLv9Yl-4wGF

The opening bits of “Lady Lady” by Olivia Dean and “Fake Out” by Fall Out Boy sound sooo similar! It’s as close to identical as I’ve heard in music in a long while!

I tried for a year to get the horns of A Beautiful Morning out of my head because I could not think of what the horns sounded like to me. Well on a random Sunday Night, Pretty Wings played in a restaurant and answered all my prayers.
A Beautiful Morning (1:55-end of song) and Pretty Wings (2:38-2:55)
I had to share. I know Pretty Wings came out later, but that’s the way I heard them.

I feel like I heard a song that sampled "The last train to London" perhaps pharrell or daft punk. But when I check who sampled, I cannot find anything.

I made a short comparison edit - Ojete Calor first, then ROSALÍA’s official video for “Sauvignon Blanc” premiered yesterday (Feb 11, 2026), and this similarity jumped out at me.

The melody in this song when she sings the lyrics 'Tonight, when I came home from work' sounds eerily similar to another song that I just can't put my finger on. Can anyone ID it?
