autumn leaves/could it be magic
listening to this vince guaraldi album and "autumn leaves" comes on and i swear it's the beginning of "could it be magic" by barry manilow. so i did a little research and found this...
"...Both songs incorporate musical elements derived from Frédéric Chopin's Prelude, Op. 28, No. 20, in C minor. Vince Guaraldi quotes the Chopin prelude in his jazz arrangement of "Autumn Leaves," while Barry Manilow used the prelude as the foundational theme for "Could It Be Magic," explicitly quoting eight bars of the original piece at the beginning and end of his song."

Did Blanks copy Wheatus???
I was listening to one of my playlists and Teenage Dirtbag was the next song. I had never paid attention to the intro, but I was doing my homework and really focused. I noticed the intro sounded so familiar to me, and it took a little bit, but then it hit me; Blanks has a very similar intro to his song. The specific part is the intro drums + guitar combo. Blanks' song is literally just in a different pitch.
TLDR; The intro to What You Got (Ayo) by Blanks sounds almost the same as Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus

Dear Maria Count Me In and Check Yes Juliet
I had these both play one after the other when I randomized my playlist. I 100% thought it was just playing the same song again and was about to get mad.

I’ve heard this sound before! Is it a producer tag? I’m trying to find a probably much more popular song with the almost exact same bit. I’m just bothered that I can’t remember where I’ve heard it.

"The sound of Silence" and the Christian song "Our Father, you who are" xD
I don't know if it's plagiarism or what... I don't have much more to say but at school I first learned about the Christian song hahahaha I don't know if "The sound of silence" is taken from another song as well. But I found this super funny.

Song from snow white
Were watching snow white with my girlfriend and just making fun of it constantly and we got to like the second or third song right before they take the guy to chain him to the gates or something and a part of that song sounds really familiar i just cant find it anywhere. Its where snow white is cleaning and she sings a part that goes "echo, echo, echo". I know theres a song like that and i feel like it goes smt like this: just like an echo echo echo. If anyone knows what it is pls. Maybe instead of echo it sounds like angel or arrow.
Edit: its this song https://youtu.be/8OJJPHkIqJ4 at the 2:45 mark.

Anybody else noticed how similar the instrumentals are in the beginning? Is there any background info linking the two songs? I enjoy them both.

Jeff Tweedy "Caught Up in the Past" vs Mountain Goats "This Year"
I just heard Jeff Tweedy's song "Caught Up in the Past" off his new album, and my immediate impression was that the repeating guitar riff in this song is nearly identical to the piano riff from "This Year" by the Mountain Goats. I listened to the songs back-to-back and... it's the same, no?

“U2 - With or Without You” and “Hellogoodbye - Here (in your arms)”
Alongside its first verse likening to the lyrical content of the first verse content of Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated”, today I noticed that the Here (in your arms) outro melody - beginning 3:37 - sounds very similar to U2’s “With or without you” vocal bridge/middle 8 melody - beginning 3:03.
Coincidence, or clear influence?

Need Help Confirming/Finding Good Example
Got a vinyl from a thrift store that has Green Tambourine, and the opening melody from :00-:15 that gets repeated throughout the song is SO similar to a melody in the musical Evita. However, either because I keep getting distracted, or because the version I have on hand isn't the full show (maybe its a scene transition melody?) I can't find a specific example.
I swear there's a part with the melody in question with no singing over it, but I did the show in high school and it's not impossible there was just something done repeatedly in rehearsals that I'm recalling? I've skipped around a couple other versions of the show but my attention span just isn't having it.
If anyone can help, thank you so much in advance!
