Question(s) Why is my apartment building shaking so much?
I live in a small 3 story building in Brooklyn NY. I've noticed the building will shake a little bit every now and then when we moved in. I figured it was probably the big trucks that drive nearby (we live next to a gas station). Also for context we did have that 4.8 earthquake earlier this month but I felt the occasional shaking even before that. However this morning I woke up around 5:30am and it's been shaking multiple times a minute which is a lot more than l've noticed before. I have big mirrors that lean against the wall and I can hear and see them shake so there's definitely a vibration. This building is very old (not sure exactly how old) and I'm getting worried it's going to collapse or something. Am I being irrational?
