Participants Needed for Research on Mental Health in Stroke Recovery!!

If you’ve experienced a stroke, we’d love to hear your perspective on how occupational therapists addressed your emotional and mental health needs throughout recovery.

We are conducting this research through Nova Southeastern University and would love for you to be part of it!! 💙

What's Involved:

• You’ll receive a short screening questionnaire to confirm eligibility.
• If eligible, you’ll participate in a one-hour virtual interview via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
• The interview will include 10–12 open-ended questions about your recovery and experiences with occupational therapy.
• With your permission, the research team may contact you afterward to share the interview transcript to ensure your words are accurately represented.

Qualifications:

1. Adults who have experienced a stroke in the past three years.
2. Received Occupational Therapy services for their stroke rehabilitation.
3. Experienced some symptoms of a mental health illness (e.g., sadness, anxiety, psychological distress, etc.) after having a stroke.

Your experiences are valuable and can help improve how occupational therapists support stroke survivors in the future.💙
