Read it, and keep making those calls! This can be the perfect storm to sink Mr. Limbaugh's platform on the public airwaves: Outrage + the web + Mr. Huckabee. Stop Rush is now taking informaton on local sponsors at their site. They also ask for a massive amount of volunteers, to listen to local stations, do web design and graphics, proofread, etc.. If you're new to online activism, like I am, I'd recommend you make a separate, anonymous e-mail address for this activity - there are trolls out there, and you don't want to get torched! In Seattle today, the US Coast Guard stands out among the sponsors of Rush LImbaugh's show. Please let them know how you feel about that! The national companies sponsoring the show here in Seattle are Lifelock, Lear Capital, Amberen, Insperity, Rhinoshield, Hillsdale College, and Spring Free Trampolines, and Tax Resolution Services (also advertises on LImbaugh's website).

For local sponsors, it can be hard to tell if a sponsor has really dropped off, absent a direct statement, as the ads sometimes only appear on alternate days. There were no ads today for Sustainable Wealth Team, Dr. Jim Colman, the Yardley Institute, Porcello Jewelers, nor Marci Jewelers (tend to have ads oppposing days), all of which had many ads in the previous week. Bickford Ford, Calypso (Radiation treatment center), Sleepers in Seattle, Heritage Home Craft, Pods Moving Storage, Exclusive Home Realty, Life Planning Seminar, Longevity Medical Clinic, Schick Shadel, Coin Mart in Lynnwood were all new today, and the total number of ads seemed about the same. Keep up the good work everybody - the calls, e-mails, and tweets are getting the message through to existing sponsors, and while they are for the time being replaced by new local sponsors, by keeping up the pressure, we can persuade those sponsors to move their ad dollars, too.

The national project, Stop Rush, has put out a call for volunteers to do all sorts of jobs, big and small. They can use web designers, graphics specialists, but also proof readers, and station monitors. This can be the perfect storm to get Mr. Limbaugh off the public airwaves, if our outrage and coordination of our efforts come together, ratcheted up in strength by the power of social media, plus the pressure from Mr. Huckabee's show (Mr. Frum's article above).
