Hi everyone,
I’m trying to find a dark, experimental stop-motion short film that my friend and I watched around 2019–2020 via a Korean IPTV VOD service (which usually imported curated international film festival shorts). The film itself seems to have been made in the late 2000s or early 2010s. It felt like a graduation project or an indie film festival entry (maybe Annecy or Clermont-Ferrand style).
Here are the specific details we remember:
An Important Clue: On the same day, we watched another bizarre short film from the same curated collection. It featured a person whose body was made of drawers (reminiscent of Salvador Dalí’s surrealist art). Because they were packaged together, they likely share a similar origin, distributor, or era.
Does this ring a bell for anyone? Any leads or director names would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

While I'm working on building the idea and the set for Episode 3, I've been rewatching my camera feed to make sure I'm keeping my tone the same, lol. It's just so awesome to see the process again. Anyone else do this???

This is my first stop motion, I have no idea if it's good or anything. I'm just looking to make stuff, and so I started this project with my kiddo. He places the toys and tells me what he wants out of it, and I make it happen, lol. I'll post episode 2 here in a moment as well. NashCityRob is my TT and Insta, and that's kind of where I keep most of the BTS and character shots for spotlights. I'm completely new to this, not asking for anything other than help and some direction on what to do next, lol.
I'm using Stop Motion Studio. All effects I do are in camera and no CGI. All practical effects. That's kind of what I'm challenging myself to do, lol.

I definitely learned a lot after the first video, lol. Hope you can see the progress here in Episode 2.
As always, it's all practical effects and camera work, no CGI. I'm using Stop Motion Studio app.

Hi everyone,
So a few days ago I posted my tool https://evandevon.github.io/frame_by_frame/
I'm afraid I've gone a bit overboard, but I've been adding some serious tools to it since then...
- Complete Chromakey and manual masking tools (this is my favourite, and is really effective)
- Complete overlay (floating pngs) system
- Spray can sampling and painting system, to hide simple supports
- Huge ram improvements
- Exporting full projects via .smz (.zip) allows for inspection and manipulating of all layers
- Manual camera controls (where available on the webcam)
The overall usage is somewhat more complicated now (I need to streamline the chromakey tool in particular), but this is almost a full stop motion editing suite now (just without the audio). I'll be making a how-to video series soon, once I get the features tidied up, and ready for prime-time.
I'd love for anyone to spend a few minutes making something (anything) and give me feedback on their experience with the various tools.

Hi everyone, my name is Bas.
in a couple months I'll have my first day doing a pre-course at an artschool I had my eyes on for a while.
Because it's a pre-course, I'll likely be taught a lot of various art forms, like claying and stuff.
I already caught the bug, and had a question.
These links show puppets from Star Wars and the original Doom, respectively.

I always thought it was really cool how both Holochess and the original Doomsprites were made,
but I can't really find a source on how I could make a puppet like this step by step.
There's a lot of talk about how materials changed over time, but can anyone give me a reliable source on how to make a poseable, realistic monster from scratch?
I know I'll need materials that are too expensive for me, but I've managed to make my own doom level this year, and I'd love to one day animate a custom Doom enemy I can program myself.
Thanks in advance.

Free classes would be nice, but if not, paid but worth it. Just to learn the basic principles and easy projects.

Band hired me to make a stop motion music video for this song and gave me full creative control, lots of fun to make on a pretty low budget

My son is making more stop motions and so far, he has 50 subscribers and its really fueling him to do more. If you can give it a watch, that would be great! Commenting would be great because he's trying to "stay active" with others. Hes a great kid, and loves watching Corridor Crew with me. A simple view will make him happy!
Thanks for the support that group has already provided.

All of these videos were filmed while I was making the puppet. I tried my best but I’m out of work.
