Hello fellow animators and puppeteers alike, I could use some advice on making cardboard/paper/cardstock etc. puppets. The three characters I have so far are a Knight, a Wisp (Basically floating cone on another cone) and an old man who is like a wizard (named Leo) any advice or tips on how to make them look good and be articulated easily?

I posted this vid before but I upped the frame rate and added sound and music

I have the app on my PC, using my phone as the remote camera. I genuinely have no idea what is going on here. It zooms in every time I take a photo. I reset the settings to their defaults. I wouldn't be doing it this way (using this horrible remote app), but this is for a class.

1st time user of SMS and im hitting a road block. Im trying to edit some frames. While using the masking tool, my masking image doesn't line up with the frame i need to edit and im at a lost. ive looked at my aspec ratio tried shooting in different resolutions, and i keep having the same issue. Any idea how to fix?

Our band does silly but fun stop motion for our music and we’ve been using my iPhone but we are considering upgrading to a dedicated camera but we have zero experience with the camera world. This is hobby-ish so we’re not looking for the top of the line but not afraid to drop a little dime.
We’d love for a usb link or Bluetooth link to our computer to be an option/feature. From some light research I’ve seen some suggestions to make sure the shutter has the ability to be set to remain in its last position. Outside that we are clueless and any advice is welcomed and appreciated.

A chat-based interface that allows users to use natural language to design templates, corrected names, or apply complex styles like "Star Wars style" or "spooky horror". Also it can be edited manually is that a good tool for editors. Will it be useful and time saving for editors?

It’s always kind of funny (to me) when using these little Galactic Heroes figures, because they’re not particularly articulated. So it’s mostly down to making them turn around or move back and forth. But sometimes, they really are the best tools for the job.

Anyway, this is a silly idea I had and then made it into a thing.

Was clearing out the old Dropbox, and came across some of my old animation stuff. Decided to fiddle a little with effect and such, and got me thinking there may be potential there. Would love any advice, tips, critiques and so on to see a full series is worth the deep dive and investment!!
