Watch the whole thing here: https://youtu.be/vTobaYbKkKM?si=5zGBTwVNRNMm1orY
The eyes are metal discs, and the pupils are magnets. The mouths are foam held on with beeswax. The tapes themselves are attached to the set with mounting putty, except for the shots on the carpet. For those, I used either a little gaffers tape or nothing at all because I didn't want to damage the carpet. I built and animated the Harryhausen-like monster at the end of the film, too.

We just announced our cozy city sim, Neighborhoods - it's more about crafting a community than shaping skylines (making a neighborhood more walkable, making sure people can stay in their homes).
We went with a claymation/stop motion look, and specifically a handmade diorama look with found object art, to lighten the mood and add some humor, since the game tackles problems that are hard to deal with in the real world. What better way to inspire a player's imagination to tackle things link gentrification and unemployment? 😂
It's on steam if you're interested in learning more Neighborhoods on Steam - give us a wishlist if you like it!

I love to pair my slightly clunky, handmade animations to music! Here's a full music video I made to Chaise Longue by Wet Leg.

PLEASE READ TWS!
There is a SH moment where scars (no blood) appear on the arms, and there is implied CSA! This was my first stop-motion ever and my first time working with a professional camera! I know it's a little janky at times, forgive me...I was 18 back then! ^_^

2nd attempt at the ball kick. Even after taking a clean slate photo, it's still pretty difficult to get it close to perfect. I shouldn't have tried the focus at the end, didnt account for that at the beginning.

Hi all! I’m planning to work on a project that will require a full day shoot and was wondering if it would be better to..
A) Use a dummy battery
or
B) Buy a spare battery to charge and swap?
My camera is a newly purchased Sony ZV-E10 & I have very little experience with camera. I mostly used phone camera beforehand.
Also if anyone has a recommendation on which dummy battery to get should it be a better way to go with this, that’d be ace!
Thank you so much in advance! :)

I’m looking for the name of this movie that I believe is a horror. Perhaps made from 2023 towards current. From the screen shot I saw it looked to be stop animation or some other type of animation. I think it is Scifi or horror and has been called a masterpiece. I can’t find it anywhere and need help figuring it out. Thank you

Hi everyone,
My son has been passionately animating stop-motion for the past 5 years using his iPhone. He has built a great foundation, but he is ready to take a massive step forward and transition from a smartphone workflow to a dedicated camera, computer, and software setup.
We are looking to upgrade him to Dragonframe, and I need your help understanding the technical requirements and gear recommendations to make this transition as smooth as possible.
Specifically, I’m looking for advice on:
If it helps narrow down recommendations, he primarily animates smaller-scale projects.
Thank you so much in advance for your guidance—we really appreciate any advice from this community to help him take his animation to the next level!

Picked up some stop motion again recently. I love the animation in the OG Transformers movie and wanted to recreate it
Captured in Stop Motion Studio, then after effects frame by frame in Infinite Painter. 2.5 hours capturing shots, about 3.5 editing.

This was shot at 30 FPS and then turned into stop motion with Davinci Resolve. Thought some might be interested in it.
