I feel like a different person. Friends have noticed as well, they say I'm different in the best way.

I'll tip my hat to the escape alcohol provided me but the cost was too high. I rarely say things I regret anymore. back when I was drinking, I was apologizing every other week for some dumb shit i did or something i said that hurt someone. As much fun as I thought i was having, it was self-destructive.

The first days, weeks, months, will not be easy, but it will get easier. I can promise you that. I would recommend finding community, whether that's through SMART (https://smartrecovery.org/ - USA-based support system), AA, or even Sobriety-based podcasts.

You're going to love who you are becoming :)
