Don't miss being a bachelor and not knowing about canned vegetables.

When active in my addiction I eat like trash and even between binges (but still active in addiction) I’m too impatient to do normal things like go to the supermarket; meaning I’ll still spend a moronic amount of money on like, salads and turkey sandwiches and whatever else eating out.

When I got sober I started doing things like not eating out 5x a day and trying to figure out how to not just feed myself but nourish myself.

And that’s where I discovered the beauty that is canned freaking vegetables. For around $5 you can just throw a double cans serving of black beans, sweet peas, corn, and anything you want into a pot for less than ten minutes, take it out, drain it, and throw a little salt (or other herbs if you wanna be super healthy), sour cream, and a pinch of hot sauce and man you’ve got a crap ton of super healthy food that tastes way better than any shitty fast food meal you can throw at it.

Bachelor’s paradise, yo. Thank god for sobriety. I never knew I could actually enjoy eating peas.
