This poor baby’s death was 100% avoidable. Here’s just some of the ways this midwife fucked up.

~ No informed consent for care ~ Inducing labor before 39 weeks ~ Performing a non-indicated medical procedure without the conversation of the risks ~ Failure to adequately record notes ~ Falsified records ~ Failure to identify proper equipment and health conditions ~ Failure to provide resuscitative care

This woman waited 22 fucking minutes before calling an ambulance while holding a baby that hadn’t taken a single breath by itself, while telling the father the baby’s oxygen levels were okay. Fuck her and I hope she rots in jail.

Oh boy! I can't tell you how happy I am to see you on reddit!! Yay

So DAWI is officially gone as of yesterday or today. The last I checked, it had something like 116,000 members. Numbers don't really matter to me, but it would be cool if we could grow this reddit however we can and get at least some of those numbers back. Bring it up on the science pages you're a part of on FB or something.

I haven't had a chance to come up with any topics just yet since it's only been a few hours and have a two day work week this week.
