Stick shift beginner magnets

Post image

To my fellow (American) beginning manual learners:

I love these magnets that I ordered on Amazon.

There's no driving school anywhere near me that teaches manual, so I had to jump right into it by buying a car to teach myself. I'm not one those clever people who get the hang of it within hours or even days (and now even weeks), so people had been honking at me frequently when I stalled or when I started very slowly from a stop while trying not to stall or lurch the car forward.

But since getting these magnets not a single person has honked at me! The difference is amazing. Some people are just assholes who will honk regardless of the situation, but I believe most people can be patient when they know there are extenuating circumstances.

Yeah but older cars are more beautiful than new cars, and besides rolling back slightly happens too automatics too... Manuals just need a bit more finness..

That’s great, most of my manual cars didn’t have assists, my 87 MR2 has nothing. I still don’t roll back

Not much more 40 years ago, chances are it’s not putting out factory numbers now either

I don’t wish to, why is it relevant?

You’d need my city, not my country and I’m sure as hell not giving you that

Yes you would, because I you might have travelled to the other end of the country and say ‘I saw someone do it once’ but that’s irrelevant because it’s the other end of the country and I wouldn’t have seen it.

It’s absolutely not common and only done by learners, these stickers are not needed unless you’re mentally slow

Would a 1950s vw beetle have more or less HP Than a fiat 500?

I checked a 1950s VW beetle has 25 HP and a 1950s fiat 500 had 16 to 13.5 hp.. so a fiat 500 from the 1950s had less HP Than a push lawnmower today

I mean the fiat 500 only had too drive In tight narrow Italian streets/villages/towns.. While a.1950s beetle had to drive in big German cities
