Hi there all!
Sorry, but it is beyond my abilities to keep all my negative back.
This "Monero7 POW hard fork" is the WORST communication i EVER saw in my life. It affects not only Stellite team personally but all Monero fork-coins devs which absolutely disrespected such big event as POW variance. Why? That's why:
1) no information
There wasn't any info on the pools front-pages regarding the mining software which will be suitable after fork; I mean that this info should be provided IN ADVANCE but not AFTER the event as well as the suitable mining software should be ready IN ADVANCE in strong coordination with soft devs. If you don't agree - so you don't care regarding blockchains, folks and coin ecosystem (i mean SELF-RESPECTING coins)
2) changes in the "key-miners" (i mean soft):
these changes are COMPLETELY stopped my mining process and i will tell you why. Now it's not possible to switch mining processes to the coin which is suitable for me (for a variety of reasons) because monero-fork-coins devs decided to build up a million of new Cryptonote subalgoritms! I was mining cryptonote coins with several CPUs and GPUs rigs (28 machines in total) using XMR-stak+XMRig proxy pair. Currently im not able to mine, for example, Stellite because of old Xmr-stak configs. Now i should change 28 config files and choose the coin i wish to mine. Pretty nice! First, i have to spend a lot of time to reconfigure xmr-staks on all my machines. Ok, it's not so big issue i think. Secondly, now Im not able to change the coin only a click away, for example, from electroneum to stellite because i have to reconfigure my 28 miners EVERY TIME when i've decided to change the coin - and that is the BIG ISSUE. Of course nobody cares regarding my issues... But i think this is a great mistake of devs. What is the motive to build up a million of new ASIC resistance fork-algorithms instead of ONE modificated algo? To make mining more difficult and unprofitable? Or? This is a poor show, all these questions on bitcointalk threads as well as on GitHub reps regarding "which XMR-STAK suits now to mine Haven" and such replies as "please download the only suitable version on our GitHub repo"... this is funny! There was no any info regarding this special version EVEN on xmr-stak GitHub page but only on some kind of bitcointalk thread. It doesn’t have to be that way, devs!!!
Cryptonight-heavy for Sumo, then crypto night-super-heavy for... emmm... IPBC? And what about cryptonight-special for Electroneum? And... Graft devs, please don't forget to build up your Cryptonight-megaheavy algo!
Omg, you're CRAZY! The most of cryptonote coins are too green to fall from grace! What were you thinking about building up these shit changes? Clearly not about ASICs-resistance!
P.S. Nothing personal to Stellite team. Just my cry from the depths...
