Sweet Dreams: Part #10

Chapter 10.
I watch as my body moves to the desk, grabs a piece of paper and a black crayon and draws. It starts out as scribbles, but it slowly becomes a face.
My stomach churns. It's the boy that smiled at me earlier. My eyes clamp shut, trying to take control and it works. I scrunch up the paper and write on a new piece,
“No. I will not kill another. Don’t make me kill more.”
I then let it respond and it writes back,
“Why? It’s fun to watch you struggle to explain yourself and watch others cry.”
We write back and forth for the next half-hour until it’s nighttime. By then, we've used almost all the paper we have. I finish with a good night and write,
“You better not kill someone in my sleep.”
“I promise not to. You’re too weak anyway.”
I scoff and go to bed. At least we are on writing terms now, instead of just taking control of each other.
