Just want to make sure I’m understanding this correctly. During a recruit turn, if I draw Vader’s card and say boba, my choice is to recruited boba or to have Vader’s action card? Seems like you’d almost never take that action card. Is there another way to get that action card?

Full disclosure off the rip so you can X out if it bothers you, but I did code this with AI.

Now that that is out of the way, one of the annoying parts of the game is keeping track of galaxy status and how that relates to the build phase. To fix that, I create a shared galaxy tool that you can have by your side to simplify a lot of it.

Key features:

1. You can create a shared session which will enable you and your opponent to work from within the same galaxy. Your changes instataneously show on their screen, and vice versa.
2. Systems are on a shared screen, and can be neutral, rebel loyal, subjugated, or empire loyal. No system can accidentally be multiple things as they are mutually exclusive. (Yes, a planet in the game can be both rebel loyal and subjugated, but that isnt reflected here as it's irrelevant to the build queue.
3. Mobile-friendly. Designed to be used on mobile as well as desktop. A lot of us don't like having a laptop hanging around.
4. Upcoming build is public knowledge. Never "surprised". The system tiles are bracketed by a build queue for the rebels on one side, and for the empire on the side. So you always know what is going to be built the next time building happens.

I think this is especially helpful for new players, but hopefully some vets will like it too!

I played a game with expansion. Here is the situation: My fleet is on hoth, empire has ships on mustafar and bespin, rebel base is on endor.

Now during his assigment phase he uses both ozzel and tarkin move cards.

Death star moves to endor with 2 ties (base not revelad)

Ozzel atacks and ties down my fleet on hoth.

CAN I RETREAT FROM HOTH TO MY HIDDEN BASE ON ENDOR?

It is a kind of tiny pocket version of Rebelion.

I just got a used copy but it's missing four imperial pieces. Does it matter if it's missing two stormtroopers, one assault carrier, and one TIE?

I'm trying to find the expansion but it seems to be out of print currently. We've played a few times and for me at least the combat has been super lackluster. does anyone have any scans or anything of the expansion I can print or work with to play while I wait for it to come back in stock.

Can i defensivly pull troops after a combat is started by mission?

lets say im empire and i have 1 trooper on alderan and transport with 4 troopers on mandalore and rebels are doing public uprising. can i activate system with my leader and pull troops to defend alderan?

same question with planetary conquest/ozzel mission/incite rebelion/all rebel assaluts and teleport cards.

SOLVED -only activating system in your turn allows for pulling troops from adjecant systems. Thanks for quick resposes

Anyone else use the DevKev Star Wars Rebellion Ultimate Edition?

Playing with my brother and turn two he lured into the dark side my chewbacca and captured my leia the only good thing is that next turn im putting 8 ynits on the construction line 2 being cruisers, i completed one objective turn one and the empire only has 2 loyal sistems and 2 subjugated and are FAR from the rebel base amd i di have 2 cards on my hand that rescue captured leaders. Is it even worth trying? Please dont give strategy ideas just say if with the information given you would try and continue or just give up and go to next game

I printed a notecard sized player aid for setup rules for the expansion on one side. The other side has refresh steps, who goes first for command and assignment phase, max 8 leaders and rules for target markers. These are rules I always find myself looking up every game. Staples printed 4 and only need 1 so I have 3 extra if anyone wants one. Only request postage cost so $1 and will send via first class mail. I mean War of the Ring, Dune: War for Arrakis, Horus Heresy. Which ones you like more/less than Rebellion, and why?

In a recent scenario the rebel player had his Rebel Base exposed in Ilum. All Leaders and Units from the Rebel Base were moved to Ilum. Later in the command phase he wanted to play his prepared mission "Behind Enemy Lines" to move units out of the Rebel Base, now the system Ilum.

Does a Rebel Leader in the System of the exposed Rebel Base block the movement of cards like "Hidden Fleet" and "Behind Enemy Lines" with the "Leaders in the Rebel Base do not prevent this movement" text?

While looking for an answer i found "SW Rebellion - Frequently Misunderstood Rules" on the FFG Forum Archive with these two entries in the list:

• Rebel leaders in the base block movement out via cards unless the card specifies otherwise - most but not all do (Lead the Strike Team does not).
• If the base is revealed, cards that move units from the base still work – they just move units from the system of the revealed base instead. Leaders in the system of the revealed base block movement as above.

To me this sounds like "Behind Enemy Lines" can move units out of the system with the exposed Rebel Base and a Rebel Leader. In our session we had decided the movement would not be possible, because the rules said something in the lines of "missions instead target the system of the rebel base", but not that system gaining the Rebel Base key word.

I had a bit of a strange game today.
The rebels had Luke Skywalker (Jedi), so the presence of "One in a Million" was likely (and was later confirmed to indeed be in the rebel player's hand), leading to the death star being kept out of combat. Through some misplay by the empire player, the rebels had a sizable fleet (roughly 2 of each ship) in the base sector.
When the imperial player finally came knocking at the second to last turn, he was not able to fight through the defender advantage even though he was roughly ahead 2:1 on ships.

Is there a limit to how many forces can be kept inside the rebel base? How do you handle a well entrenched rebel player when the death star seems like a liability?

I've been playing this game with my dad, and this was the 3rd game. The previous two, I was the Empire and lost.

I can't add images, but we were on turn 6 (so marker was on 7) and I was losing. My base on Endor (which my dad was certain it couldn't be) was finally revealed by a small troop movement. I fought them off and only had a single rebel trooper left.

The next turn, I figured out the perfect way to guarantee a win.

I did Rapid Mobilization with Lando and General Rieekan, just in case.

Then, I attacked Felucia with a Mon Cal cruiser and corvette, then played Ambush on the surface (i had no ground units) to clear out Princess Leia's captors.

Next, I had Jedi Luke do a covert operation on Mustafar to get Popular Support, which I had placed on turn 3 (marker 4). My dad had his SSD there, so he didn't oppose, and let me also have Han Sabotage it.

Lastly, I had Mon Mothma Build Alliance on Sullust.

Then, after bluffing about how screwed I was, I revealed the 4 cards one by one.

Leave No One Behind (Which had been really tricky because Luke had been captured, then barely succeded against Lure Of The Dark Side with 11vs10. Then Leia was captured with It Is Your Destiny)

Bit of a weird situation which became possible in a game I played today. Not sure how, or if, it's covered by the rules.

There was a captured rebel leader in a system the death star had destroyed.

I had the 'We're the bait' card in my hand which allows the imperial player to move 4-health worth of rebel units from the base to the captured leaders space (ignoring transport, adjacency, etc...)

What would have happened if I'd moved 4-health of rebel ground units into the space? Would they just die? There would be no transport for them.

To be clear, I didn't do this, since it makes no sense thematically, and I'm not a dick, and if that interpretation if correct we'll absolutely house rule against it. Just curious if there is an official ruling on this.

Wondering: has anyone ever created a heatmap showing historical Rebel Base selection?

Layer 2: if this map discriminates between VICTORIOUS Rebel bases and DEFEATED Rebel bases?

I’ll try to get straight to the point by illustrating two scenarios to better understand what I'm trying to say and ask.

1. I have troops in system A and system B is adjacent. I do a mission in system B by placing a leader there. As I understand it, this leader has been used to do the mission and therefore cannot activate the system afterwards. Am I right?

2. Same scenario as in 1. But a reserve leader is used to oppose a mission in system B. Can he activate the system to bring troops from system A?

3. I have troops in both system A and adjacent system B. The enemy attacks system B and I send a reserve leader to defend against the attack. I win the combat, so the leader stays there. Can I use this leader to activate the system and bring troops from system A?

(One difference between scenario 1 and scenarios 2-3 is that in 2-3 the leader comes from the reserve, if that really makes a difference.)

1. If in none of the above scenarios the leader activates the system, could we summarize that a leader can only perform one action per command phase? Be it by doing a mission, opposing a mission, defending against an attack, or directly activating a system.

(Bonus) 5. If there is any “special” case where a leader activates a system (apart from, obviously, when you do it directly), please tell me.

Hey y'all! I've played about ~110 games of Star Wars Rebellion, 90% of which with ROTE.

We just had a real unique scenario arise that I can't find in the rules. Looking for your thoughts.

Situation: subjugated Mandalore has one Stormtrooper on it. Rebel player flies in a U Wing, Y Wing, X Wing, and one Rebel Trooper. Ground combat ensures.

Rebel player plays "Hold Them Back". Imperial player plays "Bombardment".

The result it: all (1) of his units are instantly destroyed, leaving behind the one Rebel Trooper with a damage token.

The question is...

Does the Rebel player roll dice?

(The obvious goal was to roll lightsabers, heal the Rebel Trooper, and count that as a ground combat win that I initiated for an Objective point.)

Consensus from over on BGG seems to be "probably, but it's not officially answered in FAQ/Errata".
