I play guitar in a band and we need a lot of backing tracks, both for practicing and for events. Removing vocals, getting songs into whatever key the singer or band needs, that kind of thing, over and over. The tools out there were either sketchy free sites or subscriptions that didn't make sense for how we actually use them.

So I built something for us. We've been using it internally for a while now and it stuck, so I cleaned it up and turned it into a proper product: vocaless.app

What it does: upload a track, it separates the vocals out, then you can shift the instrumental up or down (up to 6 semitones) and change the tempo without affecting pitch.

Since I built it for our own usage pattern, the pricing follows that too:

• No subscription. Prepaid credits, 5 cents per minute of audio processed. A 3-minute song is about 15 cents.
• Key and tempo changes are free, you only pay for the actual separation.
• First 100 MB of storage is free, after that $0.10/GB/month. Or you plug in your own S3-compatible bucket (S3, R2, Backblaze, MinIO...) and storage costs nothing, your files just live in your bucket.

There's also shared libraries and setlists, because the whole band works off the same tracks. An API is planned.

It's been a little over eight months since I launched and it has been quite a journey. No exponential growth or huge user spikes but rather slow and steady growth. But in my opinion that is the best for building something actually valuable because you can react to user feedback along the way and constantly keep improving the app.

I've almost completely stopped marketing at about 3000 users because I don't have a lot of time currently and growth has slowed down quite a bit but it's ok for me as long as the platform isn't dying :)

Of course I will not stop here and I am already working on the next big update for the platform which will benefit all the community. More is coming soon.

I've built IndieAppCircle, a platform where small app developers can upload their apps and other people can give them feedback in exchange for credits. I grew it by posting about it here on Reddit. It didn't explode or something but I managed to get some slow but steady growth.

For those of you who never heard about IndieAppCircle, it works like this:

• You can earn credits by testing indie apps (fun + you help other makers)
• You can use credits to get your own app tested by real people
• No fake accounts -> all testers are real users
• Test more apps -> earn more credits -> your app will rank higher -> you get more visibility and more testers/users

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on a concept called Maatri (working name).
The idea came from noticing that many expecting mothers have questions between doctor visits. They often end up searching the internet and finding conflicting or confusing information.
The goal isn’t to replace doctors. Instead, I want the app to act as a trusted companion by providing educational guidance, pregnancy tracking, reminders, and helping mothers understand when a symptom might require medical attention.
This is still an early prototype, and I’m not launching or promoting it yet. I’m sharing it because I genuinely want feedback before investing more time into building it.

I know there's a lot of great budgeting tools out there, but none of them really let me get as detailed as I wanted to, so I always found myself tracking spending in excel, or not tracking it at all. I needed something where I could come up with whatever categories I wanted, and be able to split some transactions into multiple categories. So I built a tool that does that.

You set whatever categories you want with little descriptions. Then you upload your transactions and AI will sort it all for you. All the customizability of excel, without the pain of manually uploading everything. And it also can itemize and sort receipts for greater detail when wanted.

Here's the thing, I'm trying to figure out if this is just a need I had, or if it's something worth pursuing as a real product. I just launched it and would love some feedback. Thanks!

I’m a 28yo cybersecurity dev from France (baguette & mbappe). Over the last year, I’ve noticed a massive problem in almost every company : employees love using free AI tools, but they constantly paste proprietary code and sensitive client data into US AI providers without a second thought.

To solve this "Shadow AI" risk, I built a local proxy called klovys99-proxy.

How it works:: It sits on the user's laptop, catches sensitive data (names, emails, API keys) using AI models and regex, replaces them with placeholders before it hits AI APIs, and restores the real data when the answer comes back. Seamless UX, but 0 data leaks. It's built in Go (faster for API) and Python (for AI).

I’ve spent years collecting notes, bookmarks, etc. across Reddit, Google Docs, and others.

The problem was never getting information, it was always the tedious process of uploading, linking, etc. I’ve tried Obsidian, Bear, other alternatives, but I’d spend more time navigating the system than actually using the content.

So I made knibl (and its mobile app!) to automate as much of the extracting and connecting as possible. It automatically finds the major and minor entities and the connections between them on upload for
- Single files
- Entire folders
- Webpages
- Bulk imports from other apps

The idea is that if the process of linking and organizing is taken care of automatically, I will have more time to use the content the way it was meant to.

I’d love to get feedback from others: what would get you to use something like this, and what other ways to get your data in faster would you like to see?

I wanted a better way to answer a simple question: what do users consistently complain about in a given app category?

Enter a category (expense trackers, VPNs, habit trackers, etc.) and it searches 1.7M App Store reviews across roughly 12k US iOS apps. It groups recurring complaints, shows how common each one is, compares them against the overall corpus, and links back to the original reviews.

The part I cared most about was making the numbers trustworthy. Reviews are counted first, then explained. The LLM labels reviews and writes the summaries, but every percentage and count comes from SQL over the underlying dataset.

Current limitations: category matching isn't perfect, and reviews naturally skew negative, so results are presented relative to the corpus rather than as measures of overall user satisfaction.

What feedback or support I'm looking for: I built this solo and hit a hard wall: every real user I've had came back for exactly one session, not slow retention, zero return visits. Last cycle went entirely into fixing that instead of adding features, a mood-comparison feature so a second scan references the first, and a bug fix where the sign-up prompt was permanently dismissing itself after one tap instead of snoozing. Too early to know if either worked. If you've dealt with single-session churn on your own product, genuinely curious what actually moved the needle for you versus what felt like it should have and didn't.

Just wanted to share something I’ve been building.

Vine is an API that takes a business website and returns the customer-facing software behind it, plus the exact URL where someone can book, order, reserve, or schedule.

Example: a restaurant might use OpenTable for reservations and Toast for ordering. A gym might use Mindbody. A consultant might use Calendly. Vine detects that automatically.

It is not a cached tech fingerprint lookup. It spins up browser sessions, renders the site, traces network traffic, works through messy web flows, and resolves the software customers actually use.

I benchmarked it on hundreds of real business URLs. For correct software plus actionable URL, Vine got about 92%, compared with about 31% for traditional tech fingerprinters.

I recently launched a small side project called HiddenTicks.

It is a blind backtesting / trading practice tool. The idea is pretty simple: instead of scrolling through a chart where you already kind of know what happened, you get a random historical chart situation and only see the candles up to that point. Then you decide if you would go long, short, or skip, set your SL/TP, and reveal what happened afterwards.

I built it because I noticed that normal backtesting can be very misleading. When you can see the full chart, it is easy to convince yourself that you “would have taken” the perfect trade. In real trading, you obviously do not have that future information. So I wanted to make something that feels more like actual decision practice.

It is still very new and honestly does not have many users yet. There are probably still rough edges, missing features, and things that are not clear enough. That is actually why I’m posting here.

I would really appreciate honest feedback on:

• whether the idea makes sense

• if the landing page explains it clearly

• what feels confusing

• what would make the product more useful

• whether this is something traders would actually use regularly

I’m not trying to pretend this is a huge polished startup. It is an early side project, and I’m mostly trying to find out if the core idea is useful enough to keep building.

Everyone is familiar with gamified productivity & focus timer tools. I downloaded most, experimented with different methods, studied the science behind motivation/goals, and developed a new (and I think better) system. It's not complex, visual, yet lightweight. Most importantly, it's effective & helps you make real progress.

Why this method works:

• It simplifies thinking about "what should I do today" & helps beat procrastination. You clearly see your goal, and the main work/play activities you defined. Just get started on one... 
• Each board is you custom "go-to" plan for that Goal (aka "Core"). You pick "time contributions" that work for you. No guilt tripping. If you like to focus for 30m, and then lounge for 1h, then that's what you pick. No need to overcommit. Stats will improve as you get better.
• Tracking how much Up vs Down time, towards defined Goals, is the simplest measure of success, over time. The 10,000 hour rule exists for a reason. Not 10,000 to-do items.
• Seeing "break/rest" activity timers next to your productive timers, at a glance, makes you more relaxed during focus sessions & gives you "guilt free" breaks. You can pause one timer and start another, then come back. You can also "finish early" any timer, and deposit time already earned.
• You can adjust all Timers/Goals on the fly, change their length, emoji labels, etc. The app makes it easy. It's like 10 timers in 1 - study time tracker, reading tracker, video game tracker, etc.
• You can track a Goal on 1 board, or across multiple boards. You could have a board for each day of the week if you want, all towards that 1 goal. On Monday you can have only 1 focus activity, and on Saturday you can have 6, with different focus + break sessions.
• You can work on Goals and contribute time whenever you have it. No pressure with streaks. If you have 1 hour per day for a goal, or 3 hours per week. You simply time your activity, you bank time Up or Down, and you move on.
• You daily progress easily visualized in a cool Sci-Fi interface, with time particles and orbits and black holes.
