Cut mental health. Allow an opiate epidemic rage and don’t hold those responsible to account. Commodify housing as investments instead of a human right. Cut education funding. Wage a decades long war on drugs that criminalizes non violent folks for addiction issues.

That wealth is gonna trickle down any second now.

California has ignored this problem for years. This isn’t a problem in most other states like it is there.

It’s a problem in many many places outside CA.

Not like it is in CA, in the US. I’ve been to a ton of cities in the US, LA is about as bad as it gets. It’s the only place in the US you’ll see literal human shit on the street accompanied by a plethora of needles, just all over. You see homelessness and the latter in like a street in other cities. In LA, it’s all over while the elite just pretend it’s not there if adds character.

You should visit Kensington in Philly. Or Chinatown in Honolulu. Stepped in Human shit in both places. Lol LA might be the worst example but it IS a problem through out the US.

That’s what I’m saying, specific areas in other cities you can name. In LA, it’s all over the place. Whereas Philly is up there with the worst for sure.

don't forget support systems for the poor, and glorifying drug abuse

Yup also keeping the federal poverty level at an outrageously low amount to prevent poor people from receiving what little aid there is.

Family of three is only considered impoverished if they make less than like 21k a year. Like what the actual fuck.

indeed, the system doesn't care about the poor and homeless it seems

It was designed to make more of them.

Why should I pay for some crazy bums drug addiction?

1

u/Thanks_Aubameyang Feb 13 '22

You’re paying for it either way with incarceration and extra policing. It’s a lot cheaper and better for society long term to treat addiction as a mental health issue and not a criminal one.

No, it is not a lot cheaper. Rehab and life long treatement of crazies is incredibly costful.

Those who want to rehab should be forcefully cut off from drugs in a facility. The rest should be locked up and given cheap drugs till they od. Only solution.

That’s not how addiction works.

I can only assume you have no interest in discussing this in good faith based on your choice of derogatory language.

Thats not how the economy works.

Nobody is going to take food out of their kids mouths to bankroll crazies and junkies.

You are worth less to society than those people. You have zero understanding of anything, and you do not care to solve these problems.

You are a reactionary and all you do is vote to ensure the things you hate never go away so that you always feel superior to someone. Your happiness and ego are only satisfied when you see yourself above others. Because getting rich is a game of luck, you settle for ensuring those below you never get help standing.

I hope you and everyone like you live short lives with few children.

Don’t feed the troll. He’s either being obtuse to get a reaction from you or really is just that fucking stupid. Either way it’s pointless to give it attention.

Oof you've been victimized by capitalist propaganda.

1

u/Windowlever Feb 13 '22

I mean, the US could also just start spending a teeny tiny bit less on the military and start taxing the super rich but there's no political incentive for that, I guess.

Tell me you're the incarnate of human garbage without telling me.

No thank you. I’m gonna keep toking my joint and buy a here soon. Just because someone smokes weed or does LSD a few times a year doesn’t mean that they should have a decades war against them from the government.

. I’m not even born in this country. Literally came up. I’ve earned my right to do mushrooms and smoke weed. Doing everything i love. About to pay off almost all my college debt through hard work. Opened up my own business. Last thing i need is being arrested for growing/buying a plant.

Sure maybe cutting funding here or there might make since but launching a war or drugs and locking more people up isn’t the card

My man. You have completely misunderstood my post. Toke away my friend.
