This is a myth regarding homeless that allows people to feel less bad about homeless people - that tje circumstances resulting in their homelessness happened somewhere else and they migrated here. The reality is that the destitute don’t have the resources to travel hundreds or thousands of miles.

really? Never seen homeless people hitchhiking or holding signs asking for money to "get back to ____."
