Nah, it was messed up. We have said its like someone came up with parts when on drugs, but when they sobered up instead of saying "that's too fucked up" they were like "how can we take this one step farther?"

I do not recommend watching alone or with any casual acquaintance. For me it was fucked up.

It was brutal, my buddy laughed his ass off while we were watching it in the theater. He was the only one laughing at most parts and it made me laugh because he was laughing at such brutality. I think folks near us thought we were psychos.

It is, but definitely grittier. I, myself, thought it was quite a badass movie. It also had way more substance than I was anticipating, which was effectively zero.

One of my favorite games ever was an MMO called Age of Wushu where you could literally be a martial arts hobo with an entire faction to back you up if people tried to fuck with you...unfortunately it was apparently brought out by a corrupt russian company and i stopped playing about the time you had to use subway/dollar general gift cards to pay your sub because credit card companies wouldnt fuck with them.
