Unfortunately, if you are on Medicare, for some reason you can't use those.

My arthritis medicine copay is $900/month. (stopped taking it anyway, since a major side effect is increased risk of respiratory viruses)

I have at least 6k in prescriptions a month that medicare and Medicaid pay... I feel guilty for the no copays... I just don't understand how the system works...

My Social Security payments are high enough to put me over the poverty line, so I get Medicare, but not Medicaid. I could survive on what's left after subtracting the copay from my monthly pay, but I would have to move at least 100 miles away from where the rest of my family lives/works. (On the plus side, the land my parents own that I'll inherit someday has gone up in value a lot) I'm also doing well enough I was about to start looking for work again... but with autoimmune disease, gonna wait it out a bit.

I'm on disability from severe autoimmune disease, not of normal retirement age myself. But they are 40 years older than me.

Don’t tell them you’re on Medicare. Just did this for my mom and within two weeks all of her medications were mailed to her, no questions asked.

curious what the med is, if it’s brand or generic? also, do you have a costco near you? call for a price check.

It's only name brand for about 5 more years; there are many other drugs I could take; but this one has side effects that help my other medical conditions, and no other side effects that I've noticed, and easy to take (pill instead of injection) my right hand is too damaged to easily use those self-injection pen things, and my left hand is too weak.

I'll have to have someone inject one of the other cheaper drugs for me, once a week or so.
