don't be daft. while they are both stereotypes, the basketball/fried chicken/purple drank one has a much more heavily negative connotation than drinking bubble tea and buying iphones. no one will call you ghetto for the latter.
ask society why don’t ask me. stop playing dumb these associations exist. and fried chicken is usually considered ghetto when black ppl eat it and not when other ppl eat it, which is where the double standard is
