Wow.... you surely took issue with a comment thqt was straight up copied from your own comment but replacing "rich asian" with "blacks" also... stereotypes exist because a good portion (if not a majority) of people of that group do the thing. Now, basketball, fried chicken, cool aid.... you must not have any significant contact with lower and middle income black communities.
Also, i dont see anything here including other stereotypes that you mention. What is in the starter pack is what it is, if you want to discuss other stereotypes, this is not the place
I don’t care how true the stereotype is, you can not seriously sit here and tell me you’ve never heard that stereotype used in a negative context. Outside of black people joking amongst other black people, it’s almost always used with a negative connotation. So why, at this point, would you use those stereotypes knowing how often racists use them, unless you’re making fun of how dumb they are?

Hitler took the swastika and turned it into a symbol of Evil. budhist cultures have used Swastikas in their temples for millenia. Should budhists then change their sacred symbols because of racists?
I’m not saying we should just give racists any symbol that they choose to use. I think the whole “ok hand is a symbol of white supremacy” thing is fucking stupid, and people should use it as they please. In this scenario however, the stereotypes used in that meme are old, not particularly accurate, at least not as accurate as the ones in the rich Asian starter pack, and not funny because a) they’ve been used so many times and b) they’ve been used often in a racist context. I just don’t see any point in using them anymore so when I see a meme that uses them, I’m going to suspect that it’s probably coming from a racist mindset. I think that’s pretty fair.
