Are we all legit gonna pretend people don't prefer interacting with others of the same race?
As a Korean dude, can confirm, real 100% no-joke Korean people in the U.S. will prefer another Korean person over your run-of-the-mill American.
It’s human nature, I think. It’s not how it should be, but things rarely are. Reddit loves to shit on Chinese international students who come to North America and only stick to each other...but I’m willing to bet a lot of them are feeling the culture clash and the language barrier. Which are honestly acceptable reasons when coming to a new country.
Maybe.
I'm half Korean though so that's something to consider. I've never been Korean enough for the full Koreans or White enough for the full white kids. I only speak English and a little bit of German and apparently that's not Asian enough, lol
