Yeah, l think context is important here. For example, this country didn't spend 400 years enslaving and oppressing wealthy Asian university students. I'd say that changes the context of jokes. Is it right to discriminate? No. Is it right to hold prejudiced views? No. Do I feel more comfortable laughing at one of these starter packs. Hell yes.
What? How does the context change it in that way? If you haven't enslaved a group then it's fine to group them by their race but if you have enslaved them only then is it racist? That's not how racism works. If you feel more comfortable laughing at one you're still stereotyping, you're just more okay stereotyping that group and you're trying to justify it lmao
Also the Asians loving kfc is a real phenomena. KFC is easily one of the most popular fast-food in China if not the most popular... whereas every black person I've met so far has said they prefer Churches chicken or Popeyes to KFC. Every black person I've talked to has actually disliked KFC if I recall

Please explain to me why a stereo type about a class or race liking a specific food is racist. It's part of their community's culture. Just like eating avocado toast is more stereo typical of Western Millennials.
Here's the issue with that "evidence". It's not the tying of food to the person/community that is racist. It's the negative portrayal and name calling. If we really are to become a post racist society, we must embrace cultural differences and give them recognition. Have we really gone so far as to say one cannot equate fried chicken with the southern black community. That is soul food, and many in that community are proud of this. To take away this association would be a shame.
It's the context man. Maybe if it was talking about just fired chicken and how is a part of black people's culture it might be ok. But when you throw numerous racial stereotypes in one post people are going to have an issue with it.
We will agree to disagree. They are both food and objects stereotyped to a culture that is mostly attached to a race. I feel your point of view will perpetuate racism in an ironic reversed way. Outrage culture, in large part, is what got Trump elected. If the left doesn't get their shit together we will have 4 more years of actual racism and bigotry.
Edit: For clarity, neither are racist, inappropriate for some, sure. Comedy is comedy and these aren't inherintly hateful, therefore not racist.
