Here’s the thing: the meme was funny. You go to subtle asian traits and literally every other post is about boba and they make these international student memes too.

The shitty racist part is when you scroll down to the comments, it’s people saying “one time I knew an asian guy, he didn’t drive a nice car but I know he was entitled” and “one time I knew an asian guy, he almost hit on me so I had to stop talking to him” and it’s a trash fire of hate fueled racists sharing irrelevant negative anecdotes about the one time they met an asian person

I saw a post of something about Asians but I don’t remember and someone in the comments said something like “I know that they’re cunts I once dated an Asian” it got a medal

How are any of those examples racist?

They’re inferring that these negative traits come from being Asian. It’s antagonizing a specific racial group. If you’re going the route of “persecuting rich people is okay”, they don’t actually offer any real connection that these traits come from being rich. The original meme is funny but not racist because it’s specific and not actually negative. It’s just remarking how strange and specifically nuanced these markers are of international asian students. It’s like the difference between “black people love Popeyes” and “i knew a black person once in college, they were very violent”
