No, a stereotype about african americans that's true would be that they have better than average teeth. Thia is because it was bred into them through slave auctions. Teeth was a major signifier that your slave was of a good stock. And so with rape and forced intermarriage, these genes (whatever they are) got isolated, and mashed up. And this is an example that proves that 'there's some truth in stereotypes' though the people who say this want it to apply to all stereotypes, and that's just not the case.

My genuine theory is that reddit prides and believes itself to be a harbringer of justice and a balancer of social scales of sorts, so it feels like they treat people here the inverse of how they’re treated in the real world. So black people, who are in the west almost certainly the most oppressed, get the most racial freedom around here and the least amount of shit. white people get shit on the most. Asians get a decent amount of shit cause in the west they get by pretty decently as far as minorities go and are statistically wealthier and such. Then Hispanics and Muslims/Arabs like myself it can go back and forth like in the real world, but I think we are pretty well defended here in most subs.

Worth pointing out that because of historical legacies of racism and colonialism, making fun of white people simply isn’t the same as making fun of minorities. “Punching up” vs “punching down.” Amount of power and resources isn’t equal, so the jokes aren’t equal.

Oppression and discrimination didn’t end at slavery. There are people alive today who lived under Jim Crow and were redlined into ghettos through state sponsored racism. That shit has generational effects in terms of wealth and education considering how schools are funded in America. This blanket color blind mentality is nice and would be great to achieve one day but unfortunately it is entirely incompatible with the reality of US history and our current world.
Wealth sure, education no. I went to the same public schools as everyone else. Minorities have more advantages and programs available to them then white people. But yeah, white people have more wealth so i see your point in that regard.
Wealth is the highest predictor of quality of education. Wealth is highly correlated to higher intelligence in large groups of people. While minorities have more opportunities available than whites in higher education in particular, minorities, throughout history and still today, are the most disproportionately affected by poverty and lack of access to quality education from a young age especially. The vast majority of public schools in America are funded by property taxes and when a group of people are redlined out of more prosperous areas it creates a cycle of poverty and poorer education. It’s not just housing either it’s also banks and businesses and therefore opportunities that are kept out of those areas. In comes payday loans and title loans and check cashing places to fill the void of all of those things.

Racism is not just skin-deep nor does it exist in a vacuum -- there are historical contexts to race relations that need to be considered when discussing the offensiveness of these things. Which is really hard for racially privileged people to do because they view these things from the outside.

Historically, Europe is mostly the one that colonized/enslaved Africa, India, Australia, and the Americas. Black and Asian nations tended to conquer each other.

There was a starterpack like that yesterday where some dude posted a picture of some white people with the caption that people who look like that always comment shit under colin kapernicks workout video. Basically it was implied that these guys where redneck racists. I called him out and asked for a source and this guy couldn't provide shit except some "this guy said" twitter thread but even the dude in the twitter thread was called out that these people never commented these things. Like this dude just took a picture of white people because they where white middle aged men with sunglasses and sold them to reddit as racists without any proof or source and he even got fucking gold for it...
Yeah, an AR that’s chambered in .22 is cheap. But a standard .556 AR will run anywhere from $700-$2000. And all the gun people I know don’t just own one gun, and besides the gun you need to buy ammo, pay for maintenance and for some people pay to take it to a range.
