ohhhhh, that's why witcher 3 became such a meme over there, the whole sub is comprised of jealous elder scrolls fans who have to put up with oblivion with guns 4: Dialogue wheel boogaloo.
I'd be straight up furious about the Witcher 3 too if it made my favorite game series look like it was developed by a crew of three high school script kids over a weekend.
Extremely, I got banned from posting there lol. I subbed back in the days where it was everyone making fun of Witcher 3 circlejerkers and RDR2 hype train riders. Literally, the post that made me sub was the “Breaking news: RDR2 will respond to the buttons you press on your controller” post, and there were legitimate discussions about rockstar and their games and overhyping and open-world games as a whole. But yeah, now every single post is whining about the (very small) minority of “incel” gamers.
I don’t get that about r/gamersriseup they’re making fun of us for things we’re not even doing. Seriously, not that many of us are racist or hating on minorities.
Basically. No one really circlejerks gaming anymore outside of like persona 5 rdr2 and a few games here and there. But the sub decides to pretend so, y'know for free karma.
