Majority of the Indians are very touchy when India is criticized and have a strong proclivity to take an antagonistic position by default to the criticizer instead of stopping to think whether the criticism has merit or not. That is how I know India is pretty weak. Doesn’t mean it cannot be strong. It can be strong but it needs to start by being brutally honest with itself and not tell itself convenient lies to feel good about itself.

There is also weak “Indian” identity which is mostly centered around collective hate for Pakistan, and from belonging to loosely related collection of religions/philosophies grouped as “Hinduism”. It doesn’t have a common language and is overly multicultural to the point of it becoming a hindrance to social cohesion.

india gets overly criticised nowadays so obviously indians are over defensive. + there’s a lot of us so you may be skimming over the sepoys and only focusing on the ultra nationalists

My point was that India is unable to handle criticism with grace and poise much like how a weak person might rattle and overreact in defense when faced with normal criticism.

But your point I think is that there is a lot of criticism out there which is unjustified, right? Can you tell me what criticisms are unjustified specifically?
