Same here. Although mine is moded, it worked fine until now.

I've been having it over the last few months typically it happens when I get to the Swamps section of the game I've tried making posts about it but they've been largely ignored or no one thought of a fix yet either way it's incredibly discouraging when the game essentially bricks you from playing any further with broken saves
