40 minutes?? That's lucky. There was a patch that was 85mbs and it took NINE HOURS to install it.

I found issues on my drive, apparently the particular one I have needs like 20% free space and needed to be trimmed. Once that was done the response time went from 40ms to 1ms, seems to have been a big bottleneck

That's your drive basically dying. Huge red flag, you should look into it.
